Overview
First Impressions
Haggerston Studios sits right on Kingsland Road in Hackney, and honestly, the location tells you everything about what this four-star place is going for. It’s not trying to be stuffy or overly polished — instead, you get this modern studio setup that feels like someone actually thought about how people want to travel these days. The building itself has that clean, contemporary look that fits perfectly with the area’s creative energy.
The Neighborhood Vibe
Hackney’s got this thing where it manages to be both edgy and welcoming at the same time, and Haggerston Studios captures that perfectly. You’re walking distance from some genuinely great coffee shops and that whole Regent’s Canal stretch that locals actually use for their morning runs. The night bus routes along Kingsland Road mean you can get back from central London without the usual hassle, which — trust me — matters more than you think when you’re exploring the city properly.
The Studio Experience
Each apartment here is basically a mini home base, and I mean that in the best way. You get your own kitchen setup that’s actually functional (not just a mini-fridge and a prayer), plus enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The room design feels thoughtful — like someone considered that you might want to work on your laptop without sitting on the bed, or cook something that isn’t instant noodles.
What Actually Works
The whole setup here just makes sense for how people actually travel now. You’ve got proper storage, decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out when you need it most, and — this is key — you’re not paying central London prices for the privilege. The staff seem to get that guests want helpful information without being hovered over, and parking is actually possible in the area if you’re driving (though honestly, you probably don’t need to).
Why Guests Love It
What really works about Haggerston Studios is that it doesn’t try to be everything to everyone. Instead, it does the apartment-style accommodation thing really well in a neighborhood that’s got its own personality. You’re close enough to hop into central London when you want the full tourist experience, but you’ve also got this whole creative corner of East London to explore when you want something more authentic. The 8.7 rating makes sense — it’s the kind of place that delivers exactly what it promises, without any weird surprises or disappointments.

"Great location, lovely apartment and fantastic host!"
The property was perfect location for what we needed, right by Haggerston overground station and lots of lovely bars, shops and restaurants in walking distance. We stayed here for a night in Hackney. The property had all the essentials. Super secure property.

"Very good"
Location
What could be improved: The balcony door is broken, which means there is no balcony. The bed is a Queen Bed, but it says it is a King Bed online. I booked this unit because of the king bed.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will likely use it again the next time we are in London."
The apartment is spacious and bright. It was very clean. It is well equipped in general and the bed was large and very comfortable. There is a washer dryer which we appreciated and which dried our clothes thoroughly unlike a lot of the combos. Wifi is fast and reliable. The place is five to ten minutes on foot from some excellent organic shops and lovely cafes. Lots of public transportation to everywhere in the city. A few minutes to the Regent’s Canal towpath for walks, lots of parks nearby as well. For us the location was perfect for daily visits to see our new granddaughter and our son who lives across the road. Most importantly Tony, the landlord, always responded very quickly to questions. We really appreciated his thoughtful and clear messages regarding entry into the flat and other details.
What could be improved: There could have been a couple of bigger pots and pans in the kitchen but that was not really a major problem for us.

"Exceptional"
The apartment, very clean and fully equipped, is big for two persons and large enough for four (we were four). It's located in a nice neighborhood and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the surroundings. It's very easy and fast to reach every part of London, with three bus stops just outside the door and the overground station 50 meters away. A Tesco supermarket is placed in the same building, if you need it. Last but not least, Tony has been very kind and helpful, a perfect host!

"Great location, easy access, central point to get around the rest of east london."
Amazing location, right next to public transportation, with a ton of bars, markets, cafes, and restaurants within two blocks. This became one of my favorite neighborhoods I spent time in, while visiting london. Digital key system was easy, and allowed our party to come and go as we pleased without alternating who holds a key.

"Very pleasant stay and would gladly come back. Recommended"
Super location with good connection (bus & train station).
Comfortable & nice apartment.
Generous amenities.
Independent & uncomplicated check-in.
The apartment was available even earlier.
Very friendly, helpful & quick respond contact.
All necessary information was provided in advance.
What could be improved: It's quite noisy because the train station is relatively close.
Anyway, it was not really a major problem for us.
Once you've taken a bath, there's no hot water left for the shower.
The bath shower could be repaired because it was leaking a little.
At first, it was quite difficult to lock the door. However after that, we had no more problems with it.
Some kitchen utensils were missing, such as a large pot and a soup ladle.
An additional trash can in the bathroom would be useful.
The mattress on the sofa bed was relatively soft, so my son prefers to sleep directly on the sofa instead.
It was big enough. But that is a matter of taste.
