First Impressions
Gorgeous Apartment by Hyde Park (SS4) honestly lives up to its name — well, mostly. When I first walked up to the building on Spring Street, I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical about the “gorgeous” part, but once you’re inside, it starts to make sense. The apartment has this warm, lived-in feel that’s actually refreshing after staying in so many sterile hotel rooms.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what really sold me on this place? The location in London‘s Westminster Borough puts you right in the thick of things without the tourist chaos. Hyde Park is literally across the street — I mean, you can see the trees from the windows — and Paddington Station is close enough that you’ll hear the occasional train rumble, but it’s not annoying. The Bayswater Road runs nearby, so there’s always something happening, plus those little Lebanese and Turkish places that locals actually eat at.
The Space
This three-star setup surprised me because it feels more spacious than most London accommodations I’ve tried. The kitchen is small but functional — I managed to make proper breakfast there, though don’t expect to host dinner parties. The living area connects nicely to everything else, and there’s enough natural light during the day that you won’t feel like you’re living in a cave (which, let’s be honest, happens a lot in London).
Practical Details
The room layout works well for couples or solo travelers, though I’d hesitate to recommend it for families with kids — there’s just not enough space for everyone to spread out comfortably. What I really appreciated was having control over the heating and being able to open windows for fresh air. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the apartment, and there are enough outlets for all your devices without hunting around with adapters.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to win any design awards, but it delivers exactly what most travelers need: a clean, comfortable base in an excellent location at a reasonable price. The fact that you can walk to Hyde Park Corner in fifteen minutes, grab groceries at the Tesco Express down the street, and still feel like you’re in a residential neighborhood rather than a tourist trap — that’s the real value here. I’ve stayed in fancier places in London that left me feeling more disconnected from the city.

"Great location near Paddington"
Location was great near Paddington. 3rd floor apt was spacious and lots of windows. Large bathroom and plenty of space for family of 4. Kitchen was great and small grocery in Paddington makes it easy. Great directions from owner but note you need to download an app and have cellular service to unlock the building door. Clean towels and bed linens were all ready for us on arrival.
What could be improved: Friday and Saturday night were quite loud with bars just under on the street until about 1:30am. It could use a few hooks behind the door to hang towels, and a chair in the bedroom. Also the bedroom is a double, not a queen bed and mattress was a bit too soft for us . Lastly there were fans but it could be hot in summer as did not see air conditioning.

"I might consider staying there again if I go once more."
The apartment is a 3-4 minute walk from Paddington Station. The station has metro lines like Circle, Bakerloo, Elizabeth Line, and District Line, offering easy access to many parts of the city.
It’s also a 15-20 minute walk to Oxford Street and 10 minutes to Hyde Park. Within a 30-minute walk, you can reach places like the National History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, and Albert Hall.
The area has markets, pubs, and restaurants. Right under the apartment, there’s a café that prepares breakfast and sandwiches at affordable prices.
The apartment is clean and tidy, and even spacious.
What could be improved: The street is noisy. Due to the nearby hospital, ambulance sirens can be heard frequently.
When we arrived, the hairdryer was broken. We were asked to try another socket, but it still didn’t work. Despite this, it wasn’t replaced for the entire 3-day stay. The staff was indifferent about this issue. Communication could have been better, and this minor problem could have been solved quickly.
It would be better if they provided shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom based on the number of days the guest is staying.

Fantastic location and property was clean and comfortable.
What could be improved: Was told that there was a washer/dryer in the apartment, but later discovered in the welcome pack that it was a washer and a drying rack. We were unable to find the drying rack, after which the host said that the washing machine also had dryer capabilities. This was not the case and despite informing the host and including the model number of the washer, there was no further reply from them.

What could be improved: Checking in is very difficult, we were left stranded outside the apartment for more than an hour. They gave us wrong check in details we have to call the apartment before they gave us the the right check is codes.

The property was very spacious and clean. All the facilities were available like kitchenware, bathroom toiletries and clean towels, a fan and TV. It was a cozy apartment with a perfect location.
What could be improved: Too noisy outdoor. Even in early morning and late night.
