Overview
First Impressions
FiveM West Hampstead – North sits on a quiet residential street that honestly feels more like a local secret than a tourist hub. When I first walked up to the building on Lymington Road, I was struck by how it blends seamlessly into the Camden neighborhood — no flashy signs or crowds of tourists with rolling suitcases. This four-star property has that understated confidence that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the guidebooks missed.
The Neighborhood Feel
West Hampstead isn’t exactly central London, but that’s actually what makes it work so well. You’re a quick tube ride from the chaos of Oxford Street, yet you can walk to proper local pubs where residents have been drinking for decades. The Overground station is literally a few minutes’ walk away, and I mean that — not the “few minutes” that hotel websites usually claim. There’s a Waitrose nearby for grabbing essentials, plus those little independent shops that make you feel like you’re living here rather than just passing through.
Inside Your Space
The room I stayed in felt more like a well-designed studio apartment than a typical hotel setup. There’s actually space to unpack properly, which you don’t realize you’ve been missing until you have it again. The kitchenette isn’t just for show either — I actually used it to make proper coffee in the mornings instead of relying on those tiny hotel packets. Everything’s clean and modern without being sterile, if that makes sense.
What Actually Matters
Here’s what I appreciated most: the building stays quiet even though you’re in London. No slamming doors at 2 AM or paper-thin walls where you hear every conversation from neighboring rooms. The Wi-Fi actually works consistently — I was able to video call home without those awkward frozen-screen moments. Parking can be sorted if you need it, though honestly, you won’t need a car from this location.
Why Guests Love It
This place gets a 9.2 rating because it delivers on the fundamentals without trying to be something it’s not. You’re not paying for a fancy lobby or a restaurant you’ll never use — you’re getting a genuinely comfortable base in a part of London that feels real. It’s perfect for travelers who want to experience the city like someone who actually lives here, rather than bouncing between tourist attractions. I’d definitely book here again, which honestly says more than any star rating ever could.

"Great small and stylish apartment. Staff responded quickly and it was a pleasant stay."
Stylish, clean and good transportation.
What could be improved: A bit small, the bed was located between two walls, so it wasn’t so comfortable.

This is the best accommodation I've had during my six visits to London. Firstly, all the facilities in the room are brand new. Although the room is not large, it has all the necessary equipment, making it no problem to cook simple meals for the kids. Another great thing is that it's extremely convenient for getting around. There's a subway, a train station and buses all within a short walk. There are also four supermarkets, many restaurants, bars and coffee shops nearby. It's just amazing! I think I'll choose this place again next time.
What could be improved: There's nothing to complain about. As a short-term residence for two people, this room is perfect!

"Fabulously designed and well situated for local and city amenities."
Modern, clean and welcoming. Exceptionally well placed for travelling around London and some fantastic restaurants and pubs right on your doorstep. Beautifully designed and presented and we will definitely be returning in the new year.
What could be improved: Was on the junction of a very busy road and next to a Tesco Express - so early morning deliveries.

"Lovely studio flat for our week working in London."
Very convenient for us, we managed secure a great price in London for a week. Modern, well equipped, clean and felt very safe.
What could be improved: It was pretty small for 2 people sharing but for one person it would be perfect. I couldn’t reach the bathroom window to shut it!

"Modern appartment in a nice non touristy neighborhood"
Well equipped and nicely decorated appartment. Location is a bit away from the city center, but in a nice non tourist neighborhood with all facilities
What could be improved: There is nobody on site. Luggage storage before checking in and after checking out is a bit an issue

The location is on the edge between the busy part of WH and towards the posh part, plenty of stores, bakeries and cafes around. Super close to ThamesLInk, Overground and Tube so easy to move around. The house is completely renovated, smells still very fresh and clean, so it the apartment. Small perfect studio, mine was overlooking the garden, super quiet, so nice to look out at green trees. All squeaky clean and lovely, host very responsive. I cannot say enough good things about it. Love that the floor was wooden and not carpet that traps all the dust.
What could be improved: Nothing!

"Loved our stay! We’d stay there again in a heartbeat next time we’re in London."
With the tube just 5 mins away & the buses just around the corner from the property, the location couldn’t be more perfect. Getting around to anywhere was easy & stress free. And our room had big windows & rain shower head & washer dryer which we very much appreciate. Best of all, the room was totally clean & the kitchen wares washed & ready for the next guests. We were very impressed!
What could be improved: Nothing…
