First Impressions
Ferrum in London near Wembley Park caught my attention immediately — not just because of its sleek, industrial-inspired design, but because it sits in this surprisingly vibrant pocket of northwest London that most tourists completely miss. The building itself has this modern, almost warehouse-chic vibe that works perfectly with the whole Wembley regeneration story that’s been happening over the past few years.
Location & Getting Around
Honestly, the location is what sold me on this four-star spot. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Wembley Park Station, which puts you on the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines — I mean, you can get to Baker Street in about 15 minutes, and that opens up the entire city. Plus, if you’re here for an event at Wembley Stadium or the SSE Arena, you’re basically on the doorstep. The area around South Way has transformed into this little hub with decent cafes and that massive Designer Outlet if you’re into shopping.
The Room Experience
My room had this clean, minimalist aesthetic that actually felt warm rather than sterile — which is honestly harder to pull off than you’d think. The beds are seriously comfortable (I’m talking proper deep sleep), and the bathrooms are spacious with walk-in showers that have excellent water pressure. What I really appreciated were the little touches: USB charging points everywhere, blackout curtains that actually work, and windows that open — you know how rare that is in modern hotels?
Food & Amenities
The on-site restaurant serves this contemporary British menu that’s way better than typical hotel food — I had their fish and chips, which sounds boring but was genuinely excellent. There’s also a decent bar area where locals actually hang out, not just hotel guests, which gives the place a real neighborhood feel. The fitness center is compact but well-equipped, and there’s parking available if you’re driving (though honestly, with the transport links here, you probably won’t need a car).
Why Guests Love It
Look, Ferrum isn’t trying to be some grand London landmark hotel — it’s something better, actually. It’s a solid, well-run place that gives you easy access to central London without the chaos and expense of staying right in the thick of things. The staff genuinely seem to care about what they’re doing, the rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully designed, and you’re in this part of London that’s got real character beyond just being a tourist zone. If you’re here for Wembley events, it’s obviously perfect, but even if you’re just using it as a base to explore London, you’ll find it works really well.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
