Evergreen Apartments- Flat 2
First Impressions
Walking up to Evergreen Apartments- Flat 2 on Hornsey Road, you know you’re getting something different from your typical hotel experience. This four-star apartment sits right in the heart of Islington, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better for exploring North London. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re actually living in London rather than just visiting β which is exactly what I was hoping for during my stay.
The Neighborhood
Islington has this brilliant mix of residential charm and urban energy that you don’t find everywhere in London. You’re close enough to the action but far enough from the tourist crowds, which I really appreciated. The area around Hornsey Road has some fantastic local pubs β the kind where you’ll actually chat with Londoners rather than just other travelers. There’s a decent Tesco Express about a five-minute walk away, and the transport links are solid once you know your way around.
The Space
The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home, which can be a blessing and a bit of a challenge depending on what you’re after. The kitchen is properly equipped β I mean, you can actually cook here, not just heat up instant noodles. The room setup works well for a longer stay, though it’s definitely more compact than what you’d get in a traditional hotel. Everything’s clean and functional, but don’t expect hotel-level daily housekeeping or concierge services.
Getting Around
Here’s where local knowledge really helps β the nearest tube station isn’t immediately obvious, but once you figure out the bus routes, you’re golden. The 43 and 263 buses become your best friends, and they’ll get you to Camden, King’s Cross, or central London without much fuss. I actually preferred the buses after a few days because you see so much more of the city. Parking can be tricky if you’ve got a car, so definitely sort that out beforehand.
Why Guests Love It
What really works about this place is the authentic London experience you get. You’re not in a sterile hotel bubble β you’re living alongside actual Londoners, shopping at the same stores, using the same transport. The value is solid for what you’re getting, especially if you’re planning to stay more than just a couple of nights. It’s perfect for people who want independence and don’t mind figuring things out as they go, rather than having everything handed to them on a silver platter.
Apartments in London suit families with bright bay windows, full kitchens, and sunset loops through Hyde Park paths.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
