Euston, Russel Square, Kings Cross Designer’s Stay
First Impressions
Honestly, Euston, Russel Square, Kings Cross Designer’s Stay caught me off guard in the best way possible. You know how designer apartment stays can sometimes feel cold and impersonal? This place actually has character — it’s tucked away on Tavistock Place, which is one of those quiet Georgian streets that feels like a secret between Russell Square and the bustle of King’s Cross.
Location Gold
I mean, the location is just ridiculous in terms of what you can walk to. You’re literally two minutes from Russell Square tube station, and I found myself cutting through the beautiful garden square most mornings — it’s like having your own private park. The British Museum is a five-minute stroll (perfect for those early morning visits before the crowds), and King’s Cross St. Pancras is close enough that you can easily catch the Eurostar or grab dinner at Coal Drops Yard without any fuss.
The Space Itself
What really sold me on this four-star place was how thoughtfully designed everything felt. The main room has these gorgeous high ceilings — typical Georgian bones but with really smart contemporary touches. The kitchen isn’t huge, but it’s got everything you actually need, including a proper coffee machine (thank god). I actually ended up cooking a few meals because the local Waitrose is right around the corner, and sometimes you just want to eat breakfast in your pajamas, you know?
Neighborhood Vibes
Here’s what I loved about staying in London — this particular corner feels residential but not sleepy. There’s a brilliant pub called The Lamb on Lamb’s Conduit Street that’s been there forever, and the whole Bloomsbury area has this literary, intellectual vibe that’s hard to find elsewhere in the city. You’ll see students from UCL mixing with publishing types, and the bookshops around here are incredible — I probably spent too much at Persephone Books just down the street.
Why Guests Love It
Look, if you want hotel room service and someone making your bed every day, this isn’t your spot. But if you appreciate having your own space in one of London’s most walkable neighborhoods, with designer touches that don’t feel pretentious — well, that’s exactly what this place delivers. The parking situation is typical central London (meaning forget about it), but honestly, with three tube stations within walking distance, you won’t miss having a car at all.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
