First Impressions
Walking up to Entire Shiny Flat in Central London, you immediately get that “I made the right choice” feeling. It’s one of those places where the photos actually undersell what you’re getting — and honestly, that doesn’t happen often with four-star properties. The building sits right on Upper Street, which means you’re in the thick of Islington’s best bits without feeling like you’re camping in someone’s noisy front yard.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about this spot in London — you’re genuinely central without paying those ridiculous Zone 1 prices. Upper Street is basically Islington’s main artery, lined with independent bookshops, proper pubs, and that mix of chain stores and quirky boutiques that make wandering around actually fun. The Angel tube station is close enough that you won’t be dragging your suitcase for ages, and you can reach central London in about 15 minutes on the Northern line.
The Space Itself
The flat lives up to its “shiny” promise — everything feels fresh and well-maintained, which isn’t always a given with apartment rentals. The kitchen is actually functional (I mean, you could cook a proper meal if you wanted to), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. What struck me most was how quiet it gets at night, despite being on a main street — good windows make all the difference.
The Neighborhood Experience
You know what’s great about staying here? You’ll actually feel like you’re living in London for a bit, not just visiting it. There’s a Waitrose around the corner for groceries, Camden Passage antique market is walkable, and Chapel Market runs twice a week with proper fruit vendors and butchers. The pub scene is solid too — The Crown has excellent Sunday roasts, and you’re close enough to Upper Street’s restaurant strip that dinner options are basically endless.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gets the balance right between comfort and location. You’re not paying premium prices for a tiny room in Covent Garden, but you’re also not stuck somewhere that requires an hour-long commute to see anything interesting. The flat gives you that independence that hotels sometimes can’t — grab coffee and pastries from the local bakery, come and go as you please, actually have space to think. It’s the kind of place that makes you consider whether you really need to stay in traditional hotels anymore.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
