Overview
First Impressions
The Entire Flat in Euston-Kings Cross sits right on Phoenix Road in Camden — honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better spot if you’re trying to balance easy transport links with that authentic London neighborhood feel. This three-star apartment rental caught my attention because it’s one of those places that gives you proper space to breathe, unlike the shoebox hotel rooms you often get in central London. The building itself is pretty typical for the area — Victorian terrace converted into flats, nothing fancy but solid and well-maintained.
The Space Itself
What I really appreciated was having an entire flat to myself rather than just a cramped hotel room. The kitchen is actually functional — I mean, you can cook a proper meal here, not just heat up instant noodles. The living area feels lived-in but clean, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re camping. You know what’s refreshing? The apartment doesn’t try to be something it’s not — it’s comfortable, practical, and feels like staying at a friend’s place rather than some sterile corporate setup.
Location & Getting Around
Camden is brilliant for exploring London, and this spot proves it. You’re literally walking distance from both Euston and King’s Cross stations — I timed it at about 8 minutes to King’s Cross, maybe 10 to Euston if you’re carrying luggage. Camden Market is practically on your doorstep, and the canal walks are lovely if you need to escape the city buzz for a bit. The neighborhood has that proper London mix of locals, students, and tourists, so it never feels touristy in an artificial way.
Practical Considerations
Look, the 7.2 rating tells you this isn’t going to be flawless, but I found the issues were mostly minor stuff. The Wi-Fi worked fine, the shower had decent pressure, and everything you need is there. Street parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving, but honestly, you don’t need a car in this location anyway. The flat gets a bit of street noise — it’s London, after all — but nothing that kept me awake. I actually liked hearing a bit of neighborhood life rather than being stuck in some silent hotel corridor.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gives you the London experience without the London hotel prices. You’re staying in a real neighborhood where people actually live, you’ve got space to relax properly, and you’re connected to everywhere you want to go. It’s not trying to be fancy — and that’s exactly why it works so well. For the price and location, you’re getting genuine value rather than paying for marble lobbies and doormen you don’t really need.

"Overall, a lovely place. If I moved to London I'd live there."
The flat is centrally located next to Euston Station. It is on a pedestrianised street which is exceptionally quiet. It is like being in the countryside at night. The flat is clean and well laid out with everything you would need. The kitchen is compact but very well designed. The bathroom is also well laid out. The single bedroom is spacious and even has a large sofa in it. The main bedroom has patio doors leading out onto the balcony. With a hint of Heath Robinson design, the dining table and chairs are in this bedroom; or perhaps the main bed is in the dining room, depending on how you look at it. Not a problem for a family group like us who all rising at the same time. The view from this room and the balcony are splendid, overlooking a private green area boasting mature English Plane trees and inhabited by squirrels.
What could be improved: The central heating system is a little unorthodox. Apparently it is controlled by a property management company and the person we were in contact with or the guests can not make any changes. When we were there it ran 24 hours a day at full pelt so the house was a toasty 30 degrees celsius all the time. The only option suggested to us for cooling down was to open the doors and windows. However that wasn't an ideal solution on a ground floor street side flat in the middle of a large city especially at night.
To be honest I can't imagine that our rental fee could have even covered the cost of the fuel for our stay. There were no thermostats or flow valves on any of the radiators (except the one in the bathroom which seemed to be off). The cost of a plumber and a few valves would be repaid in a weeks heating bills.

"Great for what we needed, quick one night stay in a reasonably priced place!"
Location was spot on for people arriving into both Euston and King's Cross, and communication from the host was excellent throughout. We only stayed for one night so did not need to use the kitchen or some of the other facilities but the place looked clean and tidy on arrival and getting access was easy using the code provided.
What could be improved: The single bed was slightly uncomfortable but might have just been different to my bed at home so wouldn't complain too much, if we had stayed longer it might have been a bit of an issue. Other than that, no problems at all.

"Pleasant"
Great location, convenient for early Eurostar departure, close to Camden Markets and right between 2 tube stations.
What could be improved: Property is tired and not particularly clean. Small improvements and a good spring clean would make a huge difference. Kitchen cabinet door was coming off, bathroom was a bit grubby. Most radiator controls were missing, so only the one in the bathroom actually worked. The owner did deliver an electric heater promptly when asked so that was good, but only heated one room.

"Over all good"
Stayed there for a night only, good location especially if you have to use the train station.
What could be improved: Should add more fans and maybe an upgrade the furniture.

"Older flat in handy location"
Nicely appointed, the hosts thought of everything we might need to use. Very short walk to Euston trains, shops, restaurants. Quiet in the evening, after the school next door ends their playground day. Good place for young adults to stay - could easily sleep 5.
What could be improved: Older building: I hope the owners are working on rehabbing - replacing windows locks, repainting, cleaning webs and black mold from the high ceilings. Also very difficult for taxis to find, and due to a pedestrian area you must drag luggage along the street and up a couple of steps to the door. Living room/ dinette was the main bedroom, with double bed and sofa + TV. Other bedroom was single bed plus sofa. Older furniture.

"Good value for money, has very good access in all transportation. Best location."

What could be improved: None, but a complimentary coffee, tea, slippers will be a plus.

"Great location and okay for a single night stay"
The location was great, midway between Kings Cross St Pancras and Euston stations
What could be improved: It felt like it needed some TLC. Missing shades on lights. No lamp in bedroom and only one plug socket. Some floor laminate boards needing attention as gaping and catching. Floor in general was very noisy to walk on so worried about those below.
