Overview
First Impressions
You know what struck me about Elegant 2BD Knightsbridge Retreat Steps from Harrods? It’s actually in one of those beautiful Victorian buildings on Hans Crescent that you walk past and wonder what it’s like inside. This four-star property sits right in the heart of London‘s most exclusive shopping district, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The building has that classic Knightsbridge elegance — cream-colored stone facade and those tall windows that let in so much natural light.
The Space
The two-bedroom setup works brilliantly for families or friends traveling together. Each room feels spacious by London standards, and I mean that — you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around. The apartment comes with a proper kitchen that’s actually functional, not one of those tiny hotel kitchenettes where you can barely make toast. The living area has this comfortable, lived-in feel rather than that sterile hotel vibe you sometimes get.
Location Magic
Here’s the thing about staying on Hans Crescent — you’re literally steps from Harrods’ back entrance, which most tourists don’t even know exists. But more importantly, you’re perfectly positioned for exploring both Knightsbridge and South Kensington. Hyde Park is a two-minute walk when you need some green space, and the Victoria and Albert Museum is just down the road. The Knightsbridge tube station is right there, so getting anywhere in London is straightforward.
Neighborhood Feel
What I love about this area is how it feels both central and residential at the same time. Yes, you’ve got the luxury shopping of Sloane Street and Brompton Road nearby, but turn down any side street and you’ll find charming pubs and local spots that feel authentically London. There’s a Whole Foods practically next door for groceries, and honestly, having access to decent food shopping makes such a difference when you’re staying somewhere with a proper kitchen.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.6 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s that sweet spot between hotel service and apartment independence — you get the space and freedom to live like a local, but with the reliability of a well-managed property. The value proposition is solid too, especially when you consider what hotel rooms cost in this part of London. You’re getting significantly more space and the ability to save money by preparing some meals yourself, all while being in one of the city’s most coveted neighborhoods.

"Great pieds a terre for London."
Location was perfect for our needs. Found parking immediately behind the building too. The apartment has what you need and is well appointed
What could be improved: The washer/dryer was genuinely annoying as that we had picked the apartment specifically to have a washer and dryer. The apartment has a combo washer/dryer that no matter what setting or hours n hours of time did not dry to even close to dry. The washer in cycle was also very long.

"Well located apartment in Knightsbridge"
This Knightsbridge apartment was ideal for a short holiday in London. It’s right in the thick of many restaurants, cafes and shops with groceries and tube station just a 3 min walk away.
Our short stay was unfortunately marred by plumbing problems with a blocked kitchen drain, triggering two incidents of flooding and resulting in not having a washing machine or dishwasher for our stay which was very annoying. Not the fault of the agents of course and, to their credit, they did send someone out, twice!, to try and fix the problem but unsuccessfully.
There were many positives about the apartment though and these include being located on the second floor having a nice and bright outlook, having a lift which was handy for transporting luggage. It had two good size bedrooms with loads of natural light and two small bathrooms with both areas fitted with luxury-quality linens and towels. There was a large lounge / living room that opened onto a balcony making for a very pleasant place to be during the day or night. The smart tv had Netflix so we enjoyed watching one evening.
The modern kitchen had provisions of salt, pepper, laundry and dishwasher detergent and coffee pods.
I would not hesitate to stay here again although I would make sure that the serious blocked drainage issues had been remedied.
What could be improved: Apart from the drainage issues, there were a few small annoying things about the apartment, however these could be easily remedied and they wouldn’t prevent me from a return visit. Such as:
- [ ] There was an iron but no ironing board
- [ ] There were no instructions for any of the appliances / heaters.
- [ ] There wasn’t any hand hand soap in the bathrooms
- [ ] No clothes rack for drying of any washed clothes.
- [ ] The ensuite shower screen leaks water and needs attention.

"Wonderful Stay"
Perfect, convenient location. Easy to navigate your way around London from the apartment. Bus and tube station within a short walking distance and taxis are always readily available outside Harrods. Communication was phenomenal and check-in was simple. The property management allowed an earlier check-in due to early flight arrival at no cost and late check-out(at a cost). Apartment was clean and comfortable with all the amenities you need. Building was safe and secure.
What could be improved: Lift at the apartment was really small so had to make multiple trips with big bags when checking in and out but that is no fault of the apartment management. A complimentary clean and linen change would have been great, especially with longer stays. No dressing table or cupboards to pack stuff away, just a hanging rack which made the rooms look untidy. Radiators need a bit of a clean as they were quite dusty. Overall, nothing that would make me not want to stay at the apartment again.

"Great spot for week in London!"
Great location, close to Knightsbridge tube. Very well equipped. Liked using Harrod’s food court across the street for great take away meals. Easy access and good communication with proprietor.

"Very good"
Loved the location, beds very comfortable and lovely, quirky apartment. Really loved our stay and if we could afford it, would stay again...
What could be improved: The lights in the main bedroom didn't work apart from one lamp , nor the bathroom cabinet, which although gave subdued lighting, doesn't help when applying makeup etc...

"A charming apartment next to one of the busiest shopping stores in London, HARRODS!"
I needed a place very close to Harrods and yep this was perfect. You literally needed to cross the road and you are in Harrods (Hans Crescent exit)
What could be improved: The public areas of the building leading to the apartment was very dated and needs urgent renovation. The apartment was quite small. This is no fault of the apartment/building but it's important to know when you stay this close to Harrods be ready for a lot of street noise.

"Lovely!"
Loved the interior of the property, clean, soft beds and lots of room. Great location!
Would stay again!!
What could be improved: Hand soap would be a nice touch, as just know most people tend to forgot it, but had other great items.
A full length mirror would be good.
