Overview
First Impressions
The DoubleTree by Hilton London Chelsea sits on Imperial Road in a spot that honestly surprised me — it’s tucked away from the typical tourist chaos but still feels properly connected to everything. Walking up, you get that solid four-star vibe without any pretension, and yeah, they do the signature warm cookie thing at check-in (which never gets old, I’ll admit).
The Neighborhood Feel
Here’s what I really like about this area — you’re technically in Hammersmith and Fulham, but London being London, you can easily hop over to Chelsea proper or catch the District line at Fulham Broadway. The surrounding streets have that residential London character with Victorian terraces and local pubs that actually serve decent food. It’s not flashy, but you know what? That works in its favor.
The Room Experience
My room was what you’d expect from a well-run Hilton property — clean lines, comfortable bed, and a bathroom that didn’t make me miss home too much. The windows are properly sized, so you get decent natural light during the day. Nothing revolutionary happening here, but sometimes you just want a place that does the basics really well without trying to be something it’s not.
Dining and Amenities
The on-site restaurant serves reliable international fare — I mean, it’s hotel dining, so temper expectations accordingly, but the breakfast spread is actually pretty solid. There’s a fitness center that gets the job done if you need to work off those aforementioned cookies, and the parking situation is sorted if you’re driving (which, in London, you probably shouldn’t be, but still).
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the kind of place that’ll blow your mind with cutting-edge design or celebrity chef restaurants. What it does do is provide a comfortable base in a part of London that feels authentic without being inconvenient. The staff knows what they’re doing, the transport links work in your favor, and you’re not paying Chelsea Harbour prices for the privilege. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

"Excellent place to stay, good transport links"
The room was comfortable. The Hotel location is next to a railway station with frequent trains connecting well with the underground.
What could be improved: They could put a screen on the lobby desk showing the trains from Imperial Wharf Station.

"We did a good choice to have found this hotel for a short weekend break. It will not be the last..!!"
Perfect location for visiting Chelsea Fc. Close by Chelsea Pier & Imperial Wharf Station. Quiet zone but at the same time close to Westfield , etc. comfy hotel with amazing staff always ready to assist. Breakfast, buffet with English food was excellent…we loved it..!
What could be improved: Nothing to complain really.

"Comfortable, friendly and well connected"
Very lovely overall, clean, modern, comfortable and accessible.
What could be improved: One small suggestion; to include a wash cloth with the towels, for this chain I think that would help elevate your overall offering. Also, the shower pressure was very weak, it was adequate to wash but not great overall.

"Good value for London"
Clean
What could be improved: A bit out of the way

"Very good"
It was a lovely hotel and nice room size for London.
What could be improved: It was slightly out the way and taxis cost quite a bit to get around from here. There’s an overground station and a 15 min walk to Fulham underground which is fine.

"Excellent hotel, good location."
Staff are outstanding - friendly, polite, helpful (e.g. Carlos in the bar/restaurant).
Hotel is in good condition, and the bar/restaurant is a nice facility. Breakfast is very good. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet.
Location - very close to Imperial Wharf train station which connects to tube stations/lines, though the Mildmay line provides a patchy service marked by delays and cancellations. There is a taxi rank outside the hotel. Short walk to Chelsea Harbour jetty and the Uber river boat service, which is very good. In a newly developed part of Chelsea with a couple of useful shops and restaurants nearby.

"Great"
Comfortable short 1 night stay, room was a good size. They had balloons for my husbands birthday which was nice, would have been nice to have a small cake or cookies or something next to it. Good breakfast options generally. We drove, it was the weekend so parking was quite easy and available in the roads near by. Very friendly and polite staff.
What could be improved: The vegetarian sausages for breakfast were not nice at all. Would have been great to have halal sausage options. Would have been also very helpful to have complementary water in the room, which they don’t do apparently.

"Wonderful."
The hotel was lovely, decoration was beautiful as you walked in.
The staff were all very friendly and always had a smile on their face. They went above and beyond for our little boy. We’d mentioned we were staying for his birthday and they put balloons in our room for him. He was so excited when he opened the door.
Was a 2 minute walk to the train station and was only about half an hour to get to central London.
Breakfast was lovely with a very good selection. Would stay again.
