Overview
First Impressions
Deluxe 2-bedroom Apartment in Kings Cross sits right on Swinton Street, and honestly, the location caught me off guard in the best way. You’re in Camden but close enough to Kings Cross that the whole area feels buzzy without being overwhelming. The building itself has that classic London brick look — nothing flashy, but it fits perfectly with the neighborhood vibe.
Location & Neighborhood
Kings Cross has completely transformed over the past decade, and staying here puts you right in the middle of it all. You’ve got the British Library practically around the corner, and Coal Drops Yard is maybe a 10-minute walk if you want some shopping or decent food. What I really appreciated though was how easy it is to get anywhere from here — Kings Cross St. Pancras station means you’re connected to basically everything, plus the Eurostar if you’re feeling spontaneous about Paris.
The Apartment
This apartment actually feels like someone’s home rather than a sterile hotel space. The two bedrooms are properly sized (not those tiny London shoebox situations), and there’s a full kitchen that I ended up using more than expected. The living area has enough space to spread out, which you know is rare in central London. It’s a four-star setup, and while it’s not trying to be overly fancy, everything works well and feels comfortable.
Practical Details
The room setup works brilliantly if you’re traveling with friends or family — you actually have space to breathe and aren’t stepping over each other’s luggage. I mean, having a proper fridge and cooking facilities saves you from eating out for every single meal, which your wallet will thank you for in London. The WiFi was solid, and honestly, the whole place just felt more relaxed than your typical hotel stay.
Why Guests Love It
What really works about this place is how it balances being in the thick of things without the tourist chaos. You’re close enough to walk to the West End theaters, but you can also duck into some of Camden’s quieter spots when you need a break. The transport connections are genuinely excellent — whether you’re heading to Shoreditch, the City, or even out to Greenwich, you’re never more than a quick tube ride away. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re living in London rather than just visiting it.

Clean and inviting
What could be improved: The issue was my sleep was interrupted by traffic noise and could hear the tube .

"Central, nice flat. Bring noisecancelling plugs for the night."
The flat is central and a short walk from Kings Cross. It was clean and the change of keys went smoothly. The staff were also easy to communicate with.
What could be improved: It was a lot of noise from the streets at night.

"A great place to stay in London if you are wanting to travel via Kings Cross Station. You can walk there in less than 10"
My family and I enjoyed how close it was to walk to Kings Cross Station.
What could be improved: There was nothing that my family and I didn’t like about our stay.

"Great location, nice property. Would stay agin."
Lovely small flat with two decent bedrooms and an upstairs kitchen/diner in the heart of Islington. Close to Camden, KC and other areas.
The host was responsive, keys in a lock box and it was spotless inside. Well stocked with bedding etc.
What could be improved: The bathroom is small, with a funny door. A better shower curtain and few shelves would help.
It is noisy. There is a busy train line to the rear, and a road to the front. This isn't the hosts fault, but BRING earplugs!

"Ideal to explore London"
Great location, easy to get to from local tube/rail stations and also bus. Ideal property for exploring London. Ideal for groups/couples.
What could be improved: If you are a light sleeper then the property us is next to a tube line, which runs regularly.

Ideal spot for central London, short walk to King's Cross. Comfortable bed.
Great communication from hosts.
I would say 'Deluxe' is a stretch though!

"Neat 2 bedroom apartment in a convenient location."
Loved how warm this apartment was in the middle of a freezing snap! TVs in lounge and bedrooms was also welcome. Easy 10 min walk to Kings Cross station and good Indian in between. Excellent communication with hosts. Self check-in was smooth and stress free.
What could be improved: My husband thought beds and pillows were a bit soft but we were so tired we still slept well. We were worried about the underground rumbling (it runs next door) but we ended up loving it. Bathroom was a bit squishy but it's London!

"Good base for a long weekend of exploring the city."
Overall the location was good, but situated on a train/tube line and busy road. It did quieten, which enabled us to sleep and recharge. The beds were clean and very comfortable; fluffy towels; basically had all the facilities needed for a long weekend. Great base for exploring the city.
What could be improved: The flat is a little tired and in need of some TLC (e.g the kitchen tap is not secure, carpets need cleaning etc). Closeness to train line - we are not used to such noises.
