The entrance is clean and straightforward, no fancy lobby or anything, but there’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t try to be more than it is.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about Colindale — most tourists write it off because it’s Zone 4, but they’re missing out. The Northern Line runs straight into central London, and I mean straight — no changes needed to hit Camden, King’s Cross, or even Bank. The station is literally a two-minute walk, which is brilliant when you’re dragging luggage or coming back late from the West End. Plus, there’s a big Asda right by the station if you need to grab supplies, and the area has that authentic London residential feel without the tourist crowds.

The Space

The room itself is surprisingly well thought out for what’s essentially a converted flat. There’s proper storage space (thank god), and the bed is actually comfortable — not one of those saggy things you sometimes get in budget places. The kitchenette has everything you’d need for basic meals, which is great because eating out in London every day gets expensive fast. The bathroom’s compact but functional, with decent water pressure that doesn’t leave you standing under a sad trickle.

What Makes It Special

You know what I really appreciated? The place feels like someone’s home, not a sterile hotel room. There are thoughtful touches — decent WiFi that actually works, blackout curtains that properly block out the streetlights, and enough plug sockets that you don’t have to choose between charging your phone and using the kettle. The neighborhood is genuinely multicultural, so you’ll hear different languages on the street and find proper curry houses and Middle Eastern groceries within walking distance.

This isn’t a place for people who need concierge service or a hotel restaurant, but if you want a clean, honest base for exploring London without paying central zone prices, it delivers. "Exceptional"
The flat, area, facilities
What could be improved: The owner stepped in at the last minute while the other booking on booking.com ignored us and cancelled on me 2 hours before our arrival. He was ever so helpful in al we needed. All you need for your staying is in there, tools too cook and wash up, towels and toiletries . Bed good size and comfortable. Warm and full of light, comfortable studio flat. Cute apartment is in a very safe area, grocery shops, restaurants and coffee shops are all around. Train station just across the road. Defi going back there again 🤝

In my recent experience, I found the accommodations to be exceptional and impeccably clean. The flat was outfitted with all the amenities, facilitating a comfortable stay. Furthermore, the proximity of various stores, shops, and restaurants within walking distance added convenience to the overall experience. The check-in and check-out procedures were straightforward, and the host displayed exceptional responsiveness.
What could be improved: The Colindale Station is currently under construction and is closed. I knew this before booking and was able to make alternative arrangements.

"A lovely short break in London in a cosy and comfortable apartment"
The apartment was very well presented and spotlessly clean with everything you could need for a short break. Out host Nino was excellent and very attentive, I would definitely recommend the apartment for a short stay
What could be improved: Unfortunately Colindale station was closed for refurbishment which made commuting a little more hassle than I would have liked, but this was no fault of the host

What could be improved: Nothing. Property was excellent. Colinwood station is closed till Dec 24 which was inconvenient as booked due to vicinity to the tube, but would def recommend and will stay again once the tube station reopens..

What could be improved: As it was advertised as a one bedroom flat we expected a separate bedroom. The settee was a little uncomfortable.

"A nice apartment for a short stay."
It's located very close to the train station and the buses. There is an elevator in the building to get to the 3rd floor, which is where the apt is. It's a comfortable studio flat with the necessities. One had to collect the keys from a store across the street. The shower was clogged up but the owner came and unclogged it the same day. The WiFi service is good, as my data signal is poor inside the apt. It's a well furnished except for a microwave. The building is quiet but you can hear the slmaming of doors outside. The bed is quite comfortable.
What could be improved: After booking on Booking.com, there is an additional form that the owner wants you to fill and you have to submit your ID. This is unusual in my experience for an Airbnb, especially when you're booking through a 3rd party such as Booking.com. It was clean except for the long black hairs on the sheet and kitchen counter. The blinds doesn't fully cover one of the windows. There is an unusual way to lock the main door and this was not told upfront. It was quite hot overnight with the heating turned down low, and the slim fan was not useful, as the outlets are at the foot of the bed. Maybe an extension cord will be helpful. There is no microwave.
