First Impressions
When I first walked up to CS Apartments Notting Hill on Clanricarde Gardens, I’ll be honest — it’s not the flashiest entrance you’ll see in London. But that’s actually part of its charm. This four-star property sits quietly on a tree-lined street that feels more residential than touristy, which I found refreshing after dealing with the usual hotel crowds elsewhere in the city.
Location & Neighborhood Feel
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re genuinely in Notting Hill, not just near it. The famous Portobello Road market is maybe a seven-minute walk, but more importantly, you’ve got proper local pubs and cafes scattered around that most tourists never find. I mean, there’s this little Italian place called Ostuni just around the corner that became my go-to for dinner. The nearest tube station is Bayswater, which honestly gets you anywhere in London pretty efficiently.
The Apartment Experience
Each apartment here feels like you’re staying in someone’s actual home rather than a cookie-cutter hotel room. Mine had a proper kitchen with a full-sized fridge and decent cookware — not those tiny hotel kitchenettes that are basically useless. The living area was spacious enough that I could actually spread out my laptop and work comfortably, plus there’s a washing machine tucked away, which saved me from lugging dirty clothes around Europe.
Daily Life & Practicalities
What struck me most was how normal everything felt. The staff aren’t hovering around trying to upsell you on services, but they’re genuinely helpful when you need something. Parking can be tricky in this part of London — like everywhere else, really — but they’ve got arrangements with nearby lots if you’re driving. The building itself is Victorian, so you know what that means: beautiful high ceilings but sometimes quirky plumbing. Nothing deal-breaking, just… character.
Why Guests Love It
You know what sets this place apart? It’s that you actually feel like you’re living in London for a few days instead of just visiting. I found myself shopping at the local Tesco, grabbing coffee from the same spot each morning, chatting with neighbors in the lift. The 7.7 rating makes sense because it’s not trying to be something it’s not — it’s comfortable, well-located, and gives you space to breathe. If you want someone making your bed twice a day and a concierge in a fancy uniform, look elsewhere. But if you want to experience Notting Hill like someone who actually lives there, this is your spot.

"Very nice apartment. Would recommend and return again."
The apartment is located in a very pleasant and safe neighborhood. It is near the subway. Just opposite is Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. The very famous Paddington Street is also a few minutes' walk away. The apartment is well equipped, it has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is also possible to fold out two couches in the living room. We did not meet the host directly, but communication as well as receiving and handing over the keys were without problems. I would definitely recommend this apartment.
What could be improved: The only problem was the relatively late check-in, which was supposed to be at 16:00, but we were able to arrive an hour earlier by agreement with the host, for which we owe him a big thank you. In colder weather, I definitely recommend taking slippers, as the kitchen is especially cold.

"Apartamento grande y bien ubicado"
La ubicación es estupenda y está muy bien comunicado por autobús y metro con todos los lugares de interés de Londres. El tamaño del apartamento es grande.
What could be improved: La atención al cliente muy mala. No respondieron mis mails previos al viaje y eso derivó en una discusión con quien me atendió por teléfono cuando llegué que fue muy desagradable.
Las camas tienen colchones muy blandos.

"Posizione top!"
Appartamento situato in una via laterale a Notting Hill a 100 metri circa dalla stazione metro di Notting Hill Gate.
E' ubicato nel piano interrato di una classica casa inglese. L'accesso non è agevole per chi ha disabilità o passeggini.
L'appartamento era molto pulito. Due camere (di cui una con il bagno in camera), due bagni e due divani letto matrimoniali.
Sono presenti docciaschiuma, shampoo, sapone mani e in cucina sapone piatti, tavolette per lavastoviglie, spugne e sacchetti per la spazzatura. Abbiamo trovato anche zucchero, caffè, sale e olio.
Le camere sono sufficientemente grandi e dotate di armadi o cabine armadio per appoggiare valigie e oggetti. I letti sono morbidi ma comodi, lenzuola e asciugamani puliti e profumati.
Noi eravamo due famiglie di 6 adulti e la disposizione dell'appartamento ha consentito alle famiglie la giusta privacy e condivisione degli spazi comuni.
L'host ha risposto immediatamente alla richiesta di avere più forchette (eravamo in 6 e ce n'erano 4) e per l'intervento nello scarico del lavandino di un bagno che risultava intasato.
Consiglio questo appartamento e se dovessi tornare a Londra con la mia numerosa famiglia non esiterei a tornarci!
What could be improved: A disposizione un solo asciugamano per persona (per gli italiani: solo un asciugamano da viso): sarebbe stato preferibile avere in dotazione anche un telo doccia per ogni persona. Non era previsto nemmeno un tappeto scendi doccia, che sarebbe stato utile, soprattutto per il bagno con la vasca da bagno.

"Perfecta para dos familias"
Una casa muy amplia para 4 adultos y 4 niños. Muy cerca del metro Notting Hill gate, con todo tipo de restaurantes y supermercados alrededor. Toallas de baño para todos y muy bien equipada, secador, plancha, productos de ducha, cafetera, etc. Calefacción perfecta!
What could be improved: Cocina algo pequeña, y aunque a pesar de ser un semisótano era muy amplia y entraba luz, había algo de olor de humedad al entrar.

La ubicación y el apartamento está bien
What could be improved: Lo que no me gustó fue que la salida la teníamos contratada hasta las 2 de la tarde, a la 1:30 llamo a la puerta la señora de la limpieza y le dijimos que teníamos la salida a las 2, la señora super amable nos dijo que volvería más tarde. Cual fue nuestra sorpresa que a las 2 menos 10, estamos terminando de comer 8 personas sentadas en la mesa, con todo preparado para salir, solo nos quedaba recoger la mesa y salir, cuando se abre la puerta del piso y entra una señora de muy muy muy malas maneras y con muy mala educación, señalándose el reloj y gritando que nos fuéramos Yaa, en inglés claro, pero lo que decía era fuera fuera tenéis la salida a las 2 fuera fuera, así entro sin llamar a la puerta, venía con un hombre y la señora de la limpieza.
La señora de la limpieza solo sabía decirnos sorry sorry, estaba toda avergonzada.
Y la otra señora con una soberbia y unas malas formas gritandonos, que nos fuéramos, la verdad que fue surrealista y nos quedamos todas, que no dábamos crédito de lo que estaba pasando, las niñas pequeñas asustadas y la señora de la limpieza pidiendo perdón.
Lo primero es entrar sin llamar a la puerta, cuando todavía no eran ni las 2 de la tarde, entró con sus llaves y sobre todo como entró gritandonos que nos fuéramos, vamos que tardamos 2 minutos en salir ya que teníamos las maletas y todo ya en el pasillo para salir, estábamos 2 recogiendo la cocina y las demás terminando de comer.
