Cozy Studio, The Broadway, Next to Woodford Tube
First Impressions
Walking up to Cozy Studio, The Broadway, Next to Woodford Tube, you immediately understand why they chose that name — it’s literally right there on The Broadway, and I mean literally next to Woodford station. This three-star place doesn’t try to be something it’s not, which I actually found refreshing. The building fits right into the local streetscape, and honestly, the location does most of the talking here.
The Space
The room itself is exactly what you’d expect from a studio setup — everything you need packed into a smart, well-thought-out space. I was pleasantly surprised by how much natural light streams in, especially in the mornings. The layout makes sense too; they’ve managed to create distinct areas for sleeping and lounging without it feeling cramped. You know what impressed me most? The attention to storage — there are actually places to put your stuff, which isn’t always a given in London accommodations.
Location Perks
Here’s where this place really shines — Woodford Green sits at the end of the Central Line, which means you can get into central London without the usual Tube chaos. The station is maybe a 30-second walk, and I timed that. Plus, you’re in a proper residential area with actual local life happening around you. There’s a decent high street right outside with everything from coffee shops to that reliable chain pharmacy you always seem to need when traveling.
Neighborhood Feel
What I loved about staying here was getting a taste of real London suburban life — you’ll see families heading to the nearby Epping Forest (which is gorgeous for morning walks, by the way), local commuters grabbing their usual coffee, that sort of thing. The area feels safe and settled, especially in the evenings. It’s not touristy at all, which means you’re getting better value for money than you would closer to central London.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to wow you with fancy amenities or concierge services, but that’s not the point. People choose this place because it gives you genuine London living at a reasonable price, with transport links that actually work in your favor. The studio setup means you’ve got independence and flexibility — perfect for longer stays or if you just prefer having your own space. After a few days of London sightseeing, coming back to this quiet corner of Zone 4 felt like a proper retreat.
