Overview
First Impressions
Cozy Corner near Tower Bridge sits tucked away on Wapping High Street, and honestly, the name pretty much tells you everything you need to know. This four-star spot feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed flat than a traditional hotel — which is exactly what you want when you’re exploring London. The building itself has that lovely brick facade you see all over this part of Tower Hamlets, and you’ll walk right past it if you’re not paying attention.
The Location Game
Here’s what I love about this area — you’re literally a five-minute walk from Tower Bridge, but you’re not paying those crazy tourist-zone prices. Wapping has this quiet, residential feel that most visitors never discover, with the Thames Path right there for morning runs or evening strolls. The nearest tube station is a bit of a trek (Tower Hill or Shadwell), but honestly, the river bus from Tower Bridge Pier is way more fun anyway. You know what’s great? There’s a proper gastropub called The Captain Kidd just down the street that locals actually frequent.
The Space Itself
The room I stayed in felt spacious by London standards — and I mean that in the best way possible. The kitchenette setup is actually useful (not just a mini-fridge and kettle situation), which comes in handy when you grab groceries from the little Tesco Express nearby. The furnishings lean modern but comfortable, with decent storage space and a work area that’s properly thought out. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed, with good water pressure that you definitely can’t take for granted in older London buildings.
Neighborhood Life
What really won me over was stepping outside and feeling like I was in a real London neighborhood, not some sanitized hotel district. There’s this lovely old church (St. John’s Wapping) around the corner, and the whole area has this maritime history that you can actually sense walking around. The riverside walk to London Bridge takes about twenty minutes and passes some genuinely interesting spots — including the old execution dock site, if you’re into that sort of morbid London history. For dinner, you’ve got options ranging from that restaurant at The Captain Kidd to decent Indian takeaway, plus Borough Market is just across the river.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to blow you away with fancy amenities or concierge service, but that’s sort of the point. You get a comfortable, well-located base that feels authentic rather than touristy, at a price that won’t completely destroy your London budget. The staff actually seem to know the area and can point you toward things that aren’t in every guidebook. Plus, there’s something satisfying about staying somewhere with “Tower Bridge” in the name where you can actually see the thing from certain windows — even if it’s just a glimpse between buildings.
To book hotel in London for fashion week buzz, travelers reserve early to pair Westminster sunrise walks with evening pub rituals.

"Great apartment, wonderful and friendly host; would recommend any day!"
The host, Danny, was wonderful, very friendly and made our check-in so much better. From check-in all the way to check-out, he was responsive and answered our questions with ease. He also provided great and helpful tips to getting around St. Katherine's and Wapping (the area where the apartment is located), and touristy things to try out while in London. The apartment itself was great - quiet and close enough to most amenities, and a brisk walk from Tower Bridge port (from where some of the Thames cruises depart). The 2-bedroom apartment was cosy and clean, having a washing machine in it also helped with our stay, and the amenities supplied were sufficient for our short stay.
What could be improved: Nothing we disliked - the apartment was great!

"Had a great time in London with nice accommodation. We also asked if we could have a late check out to leave our bags at"
The apartment was a good size, and was a short walk to Tower Hill underground. Had a lovely time in London.

"Great location, large clean flat, perfect for our requirements - enjoyed our stay"
Lovely large (for London) flat. It was clean. The host was responsive to questions. The area felt safe. Easy walk to St Katharine's Docks. Key pick up and drop off was simple
What could be improved: There were tiny little maintenance jobs which would have made it perfect, for example, the towel rail in the bathroom was coming away from the wall, the toilet flush took ages to refill and the dishwasher didn't appear to have power to it, all so easy to fix.
We were surprised that there was no TV (but there wasn't one listed to be fair) and the wifi dongle ran out of power quickly.

"Nice and clean appartment"
This 2-bedroom flat has good size, it is comfortable and clean. The host was quick to respond to any questions. The property is conveniently located near Tower Bridge, very close to the river. Heating works well.
What could be improved: No TV in the flat - It wasnt a big problem for us when staying at the flat but if it is important for you to have a TV then bear this in mind. Also, if you are planning to cook your own meals at the flat then you will need to get our own basics such as salt, peper, oil etc (not available at the flat). There are cooking pots/plates etc available.

"Great!"
Great location and apartment! Close to Tower bridge and Tower of London. Good transport connectivity a short distance away from the property too if you choose not to walk. Quiet location where you can get restful sleep. Kids play area next to the building. We did not use it, but looked like it was open for public use.
What could be improved: Everything was good overall, but communication from host in general is very low. Key collection code is sent via a link and cannot be accessed if you have no internet access. Moreover, you will not receive any communication or key collection information until it is close to your check in time, so you cannot really plan anything. We did get the code finally via a telephone call with the owner with no further issues, but all of this lead to a slightly stressful and cumbersome check-in process. Shop where keys are collected from are not the most helpful lot.
Kitchen and Bathroom exhaust were not working and the bath tub height will not be suitable for those travelling with elderly people or mobility issues.
One of the bedroom mattresses is completely worn out and could do with a new one.
