Cosy, modern high rise with views! 2 bedroom
First Impressions
When I first walked into Cosy, modern high rise with views! 2 bedroom, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the name — but wow, this place really delivers on that promise. The four-star apartment sits on the 12th floor of Phoenix Heights East in Canary Wharf, and those views? They’re absolutely worth the slightly awkward name. You’re looking out over the Thames and London’s financial district, which is particularly stunning at sunset when all those glass towers start lighting up.
Location & Neighborhood
Mastmaker Road might not ring a bell, but trust me — you’re right in the heart of one of London‘s most dynamic areas. The DLR station is literally a few minutes’ walk, so getting to central London takes about 20 minutes. What I love about staying here is that you get this modern, slightly quieter vibe compared to staying in Zone 1, but you’re still connected to everything. There’s a Waitrose downstairs and plenty of decent coffee shops nearby — actually, the whole area feels like a proper neighborhood rather than just a business district.
The Apartment
This is where the place really shines. The two-bedroom setup is genuinely spacious by London standards, and everything feels contemporary without being sterile. The kitchen is properly equipped — I mean, you can actually cook here, not just reheat things. The living area flows nicely toward those floor-to-ceiling windows, and honestly, I found myself just sitting there with morning coffee watching the city wake up. The master bedroom gets the best views, though both room are comfortable with decent storage space.
Practical Details
Here’s what actually matters when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. The WiFi works perfectly — I was working from here without any issues. The building has proper security and lifts that don’t take forever. There’s no on-site restaurant, but given the location, you’ve got options ranging from quick lunch spots to proper dining within walking distance. The parking situation is a bit tricky around here, but if you’re using public transport, it’s honestly not an issue.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t trying to be some fancy hotel with a concierge and all that — it’s just a really well-thought-out space in a great location. The 10/10 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting: proper space to spread out, those views that never get old, and a location that puts you in the middle of modern London without the tourist crowds. It works particularly well if you’re here for business or want to experience London like you actually live here, rather than just visiting. The value is solid, especially when you factor in having a full kitchen and the flexibility that comes with it.
