Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Cosy 1 bedroom flat on Goodge Street, you’d honestly be forgiven for thinking you’ve stumbled into one of those hidden London gems that locals try to keep secret. The building sits quietly among the Georgian terraces of London, and there’s something really satisfying about staying in what feels like an actual neighborhood rather than tourist central. I mean, you’re still right in the thick of things, but it doesn’t scream “visitor” the way some places do.

The Space Itself

The apartment actually lives up to its cosy promise — and I don’t mean that in the euphemistic “tiny” way estate agents usually use the word. The room has proper character with high ceilings and those lovely period details you hope for in London, plus the bed is genuinely comfortable (not always a given with short-term rentals, honestly). What really won me over was the little kitchen setup — it’s compact but functional, which means you can actually make proper coffee in the morning instead of relying on whatever’s around the corner.

Camden Neighborhood Vibes

Here’s what’s brilliant about this location: you’re tucked away in Camden but walking distance from Fitzrovia and Bloomsbury. Goodge Street station is literally two minutes away, which sounds convenient but actually is — no trudging with luggage or getting lost in confusing street layouts. The neighborhood has this nice mix of proper pubs, independent coffee shops, and those random little stores that make London wandering so addictive. Charlotte Street is just around the corner with some genuinely good restaurants that aren’t tourist traps.

What Works Daily

You know what I appreciated most? The four-star rating feels earned through small details rather than flashy amenities. The WiFi actually works properly, the shower has decent pressure, and there’s enough storage that you don’t feel like you’re living out of a suitcase. The area stays lively during the day but quiets down nicely at night — well, as quiet as central London gets. Plus there’s a Sainsbury’s Local practically next door for those inevitable forgotten essentials.

Why Guests Love It

This place gets an 8.7 rating because it delivers on what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. It’s proper London living in miniature — you get the period building charm, the neighborhood feel, and easy access to everything without paying Zone 1 hotel prices for a shoebox. The flat works especially well if you’re planning to explore different areas since the tube connections are so straightforward. Honestly, after staying here, I’d struggle to go back to a generic hotel room in this part of town.

Locals suggest to book apartments in London around South Bank for riverside dining, market stops, and easy city crossings.

"Beautifully furnished flat in an excellent location"
This flat exceeded all expectations. Very clean, simply furnished yet had every amenity we even thought of needing. Very thoughtfully had tea and coffee, which is a huge bonus the first morning.

"Great, comfortable place for first-time visitors to London"
Excellent location, very central and only 2 minutes walk to the nearest tube line. The place is just as described. While not a large apartment, the bedroom is set back so is not near the street, which is good because it can get noisy. Bath and kitchen were well equipped. The neighborhood offers everything you might need, from basic groceries to high end bars and restaurants.
What could be improved: As mentioned in other reviews, the tub is rather tall and feels slightly dangerous getting out of it with wet feet etc. Otherwise nothing really to add here.

"Comfortable and cosy central London flat"
+ Great central location near my office + Cosy modern furniture and rooms + Stocked cupboards of essentials in kitchen and laundry/ironing board/air dryer + Reliable hot water and heating + Spacious lounge area with good dining table. + Great TV
What could be improved: + The shower is a bit flimsy and screen needs improvement + The duvet itself needs upgrading as it gets bunched up easily + The neighbours upstairs can be noisy at night time which I know can’t be controlled much by host

"Comfortable apartment in great location."
We stayed four nights in this very comfortable apartment. Our host was very responsive on WhatsApp. The apartment was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. There was plenty of hot water for showers. The kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciated the microwave to heat up leftovers. We were able to leave our luggage on our last day until we left in the early afternoon. The location is great, particularly if you plan to catch a few shows. It’s also very close to the British Museum and close to a Tube stop. Highly recommended!
What could be improved: Nothing. We'd stay here again. Thank you!
