First Impressions
Honestly, when I first saw the name Cosy and Modern Studio – 10 min to Underground Station, I thought it might be one of those places that oversells itself. But you know what? It actually delivers on both counts — the cosy part and that crucial transport promise. This three-star spot sits on Fairbridge Road in London‘s Islington area, and while it’s not flashy, there’s something refreshingly straightforward about it.
The Neighborhood Reality
Islington gets a bit of a mixed reputation, but this particular stretch feels genuinely residential rather than touristy. You’re looking at about an 8-10 minute walk to Archway Underground station — I timed it myself on a drizzly Tuesday morning. The street has that proper North London vibe with Victorian terraces and the odd corner shop that’s been there forever. There’s a decent Turkish restaurant about three doors down, and honestly, their lamb dishes are better than half the places in central London charging twice the price.
The Studio Space
The room itself surprised me in the best way. It’s compact, sure, but whoever designed this space actually thought about how people live. The bed doesn’t dominate everything, there’s proper storage that isn’t just an afterthought, and the kitchenette — well, it’s more than just a kettle and mini-fridge situation. I mean, you’re not going to host dinner parties, but you can definitely handle breakfast and simple meals without feeling cramped.
What Actually Works
The modern part isn’t just marketing speak — the Wi-Fi is solid, the shower pressure is surprisingly good, and there’s enough natural light that you don’t feel like you’re in a cave. Parking can be tricky on the street, but there are residents’ bays that work evenings and weekends if you’re driving. The heating actually works properly too, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many London places get that wrong.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to win any design awards, but it nails the essentials without pretense. You’re paying for location and functionality rather than Instagram moments, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need. The transport links mean you can be in King’s Cross in 15 minutes or Camden in about the same — proper London access without central London prices. It’s the kind of place that works better than it looks on paper, which honestly is pretty rare these days.

"Better for solo travel. Great location. Easy check in."
Close to Archway tube station, clean and tidy. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Would return as a solo traveller.
What could be improved: Very small studio, hard to get around the room with 2 people. Door to the bathroom opens very narrow which again made it hard to navigate in and out. Better for solo travel.

"Clean, quiet, comfortable and good price for London."
Cute tiny studio, comfortable, clean and quiet and good price for London. Tiny but with all essentials. A house converted into six studios in a very good area. We had number 4.
The bed and pillows (two pillows each and nice green cushions) were really comfortable, with very clean cotton white sheets. Very big and good shower. White cotton towels..Very quiet (we had the garden studio and, in spite of the overground running at the back of the garden, you could not hear it at all- and this from someone who needs quiet!). It has a kitchen corner which is useful for breakfast and heating things up in the microwave. And a table and two chairs. Everything in that tiny space!
Fernando is very good at corresponding. He arranged for us to have an extra duvet. He is very keen to help. Thank you. Just what we needed for the weekend.
What could be improved: Hardly any room for clothes and no room for suitcases. I have called this to their attention. (they need to put a different unit). Though for just one or two days it was ok.
But if they change the unit, the studio is perfect. And for us only 10mns walk from our daughter.

"Cozy apartment in a nice location"
This is indeed a small cozy apartment in a nice location. The apartment itself was nice and clean and the bed was quite comfortable. We had everything we needed to prepare breakfast and a light lunch in the apartment and we also got some complimentary tea bags and coffee. The communication with the host was smooth and easy and he helped us a lot with our booking. The room is well equipped for a short stay with a kettle, toaster, plates and mugs. We were able to get to the city centre quite easily from the apartment, the public transport is very good in that area. We also found quite a few cool spots nearby (pubs, restaurants, cafes), so we were happy with the neighbourhood.
What could be improved: The apartment is quite small so if two people are travelling with mure luggages it may be a bit difficult to find a spot for everyhing. There were some other small things which may be important for some quests - firstly the blinds are not too effective, the morning light is still going to come in in the morning (which may be important for those who are more sensitive to light) and the bathroom doors are a bit tricky to use and does not really cancel the sounds from the inside (note for new couples..) - but these are really just small things and did not affect our stay in a negative way whatsoever.

"Good"
Perfect location. 10-12 minutes walking to the subway. There are shops near the property. We are delighted with the cleanliness. There is all the equipment to cook at home. Very friendly and helpful host. We stayed 7 nights. In the future, if we go to London, we will definitely stay again.
What could be improved: The studio is small, normal for 1-2 people. But no more than 2 people. There is no soundproofing. You can hear the neighbors' voices and sometimes trains on the rails. But all this is nothing compared to the advantages, such as good location, cleanliness, and a helpful host.

"Nice, comfortable, and close to public transportation"
The place is very nice and very comfortable. Also, it's very well connected with underground and buses! I'll certainly rent it again if we go back to London

Loved the fact we could park from 4pm Friday tui we left Sunday morning for free
