Overview
First Impressions
Conway Apartments sits on a quiet residential street in Fitzrovia, and honestly, you could walk right past it if you’re not paying attention. The building blends into the Georgian terraces around it, which is actually part of its charm — no flashy hotel signage or doormen in sight. When I first arrived, I appreciated how it feels more like staying in a well-appointed London flat than a typical hotel.
Location & Neighborhood
Conway Street is perfectly positioned between Oxford Street’s chaos and the peaceful squares of Bloomsbury. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Goodge Street tube station, and I mean actually two minutes, not hotel-brochure two minutes. The area buzzes with media types and university crowds during the day, but quiets down nicely in the evenings. Charlotte Street’s restaurant scene is right around the corner — you know, the kind of spots where locals actually eat, not just tourist traps.
The Apartment Experience
Each apartment here feels like someone’s actual home, complete with a proper kitchen that’s not just for show. I was surprised by how spacious my unit was — the living area didn’t feel cramped like so many London accommodations do. The furnishings are modern but not trying too hard, and there’s enough storage space that you can actually unpack if you’re staying more than a night or two. The four-star rating feels right; it’s polished without being stuffy.
Practical Comforts
What I really appreciated was how the room setup works for different types of stays. The separate bedroom means you can actually have some space if you’re traveling with someone else, and the dining table is big enough to spread out work or maps without feeling like you’re eating off your laptop. The wifi is solid throughout — I tested it because, well, that’s always a gamble in older London buildings. There’s no on-site restaurant, but honestly, with Charlotte Street and Fitzroy Square so close, you’d be missing out if you didn’t explore the neighborhood anyway.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gives you breathing room in London without breaking the bank or sticking you in some soulless chain hotel. The staff are helpful without being hovering, and the apartments feel like a proper base for exploring the city. You’re not paying for amenities you won’t use — no fancy spa or business center — just solid accommodation in a brilliant location. It’s the kind of place you’d actually recommend to friends, especially if they’re planning to stay more than a couple of nights and want to feel a bit more settled.

"Newly refurbished, Safe, Secure, Very Clean and Ideal location for tube and green spaces."
This was a very last minute booking as our previously booked apartment was uninhabitable. The management company were quick to meet up with the keys and provided two new fans which were a blessing due to the hot weather. The apartment was newly refurbished and of a high standard. It was lovely to have a dishwasher and washing machine available. The locations was good, close to tube stations and green spaces. Lots of places to eat and drink on the doorstep. Found a nice coffee shop in New Cavendish Street called Cracked Coffee. Apartment was as described and very well appointed. Ability to double lock the apartment door and felt secure with the front door self closing. This apartment is on the 2nd floor, there is no lift but this wasn't a problem. Fitzroy Square Gardens at the bottom of the road was a lovely place to sit in the shade of the trees on a hot day. They also allowed us to leave our luggage on checking out day which was a great benefit, we thank you so much for your hospitality. We hope to return if we are in the area in the future.
What could be improved: There is nothing of note here, only that the shower was slippery without a shower mat which was then quickly provided.

Location was good, located near helpful connected Tube stations. Easy to get in. I had filtered by buildings that had elevators, but this one did not. There were a flight and a bit of stairs to get to the apartment.
What could be improved: I had originally filtered by buildings that had elevators, but this one did not. I think this was a glitch on the booking.com site.
The bed in the front bedroom was wildly uncomfortable. The person staying in the back bedroom said their's was better.

"Enjoyable. Worked for our family."
It was in a good location. Not too loud.
What could be improved: The shower was not very clean.
It was very hot with no ice tray and the freezer was in need of de-icing so we had a hard time trying to freeze water bottles.

"Overall stay was good.Very pleased with location. If bathroom was in better condition would haven rated excellent"
Spacious for family of 4. Separate bedrooms were a plus. Great area and close to tube.
What could be improved: Bathroom didn’t appear to have been thoroughly clean. Shower had mold that was really unsightly. Floors could have been given a fresh sweep.

"Not happy with this stay."
The description of how to get in (with codes) was accurate
What could be improved: It was appalling that the parquet floor tiles were detached all over the kitchen and living room. A tile beneath the fridge was detached and laying on the floor. Door knobs falling off from both bedrooms. No kitchen towel, salad bowl, or cutting board. The washing machine did more damage to clothes than actually cleaning them. It spread the dirt in the clothes and didn't actually wash, and clothes came out drenched even though I used the button that combines wash and dryer method. Also, the cleaner was in the apartment when we arrived at 3:15 pm (check-in is at 3:00 pm), not okay

"The flat is in a good location but it needs a renovation and some TLC."
Good location, nice size for two adults and two children.
What could be improved: The property needs a lot of maintenance work, door handles are falling off, cupboard doors are missing, shower screen hits sink which is very dangerous, smoke alarms look to be broken, noisy neighbours upstairs, not very clean lots of dust all over the floors, pillows on the bed are very poor and need replacing.
