Overview
First Impressions
Contemporary Apartments with Private Balconies in Hoxton near Shoreditch, Old Street, Islington sits on a quiet residential street that feels worlds away from the buzz just minutes from your door. The building itself is unassuming — you know, that classic London brick facade that doesn’t scream tourist accommodation. What caught me off guard was how spacious everything felt once you step inside, especially for London standards where you’re usually grateful for anywhere you can stretch your arms out.
The Space
These aren’t your typical cramped hotel rooms — each apartment genuinely feels like someone’s well-appointed flat that they’ve temporarily lent you. The kitchen is properly equipped (I mean, there’s actually counter space to work with), and honestly, after staying in places where the kitchenette is basically a hot plate balanced on a shelf, this was refreshing. The private balconies aren’t huge, but they’re perfectly sized for morning coffee or an evening drink — and in this neighborhood, people-watching from your balcony is half the entertainment.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s where this four-star place really shines — you’re positioned right in that sweet spot where Hoxton meets everything else that matters. Old Street station is about a 10-minute walk, which connects you to the rest of London without the hassle of being right on top of the tube noise. Shoreditch’s weekend markets and street art scene are literally around the corner, but when you want to escape the crowds, you can actually do that here.
The area has this interesting mix — during the day, it’s fairly residential with proper local cafes (not just the tourist traps), but come evening, you’ve got easy access to some of London’s best nightlife. I noticed quite a few locals grabbing groceries at the nearby shops, which always feels like a good sign that you’re staying somewhere real rather than a tourist bubble.
Why Guests Love It
What sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both contemporary and livable — the design doesn’t sacrifice comfort for style, which happens more often than you’d think. The balconies are genuinely private, so you’re not awkwardly sharing morning coffee time with strangers from the next unit over. Plus, having proper cooking facilities means you can actually save money on meals when London’s restaurant prices start adding up, but you’re still close enough to everything that you won’t feel like you’re missing out on the neighborhood’s food scene.

"My stay was short but very sweet. I plan to visit again for a long weekend leisure break soon."
The location is in an excellent position walking distances to all the key entertainment in Shoreditch and also for my work at the Moorfields hospital. managed to find free parking neatr the location from 6.30pm to 8.30am and then there is a Church car park nearby for daytime parking if required
What could be improved: I didnt like that I had to leave so soon. I only stayed for one night. Everything in the apartment was perfect!!!

"Perfect apartment for family London trip"
Fabulous apartment for family trip to London. Plenty of space for our group of 7. Beds were comfortable, and the bedrooms were a good size. Having the two bathrooms was great for our group. The kitchen was complete and we were able to pop down to the grocery store for supplies. The Living room was large and having the balcony off the living room was fabulous. WiFi was available for all our needs. The area around the apartment was quiet and there were some great restaurants nearby . Public transportation is close by so it was quick and easy to get around. Definitely will book here again
What could be improved: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about this apartment. This was a great experience much better than getting 3 hotel rooms

"Great place to stay with big group/ family."
Although the location was a bit remote (Old Street tube station about 800 meters), the accommodation was in a pleasant area. There was a grocery store a ten-minute walk away, which was open until late at night. There was also a sports field nearby. It was essentially located on the side of the street, from which there was very good bus traffic. Liverpool Street station was just over 2 km away.
What could be improved: The bathroom plumbing would need cleaning in the meantime. Cookware (specially pans) needs to raplace.

"Great stay."
Very nice apartment. The rooms were spatious enough not to feel caged, but the living room/kitchen was ample and luminous. Great to hold 7 of us comfortably. The kitchen is VERY well equipped with all you may need.
What could be improved: Everything was perfect

"excellent pad from which to explore London with our kids for the first time"
it’s in a really lovely peaceful location with a really good park for the kids on the doorstep and some nice shops nearby.
What could be improved: Only real issue was that London can be really warm and humid at times. air con would make a massive difference in a property like that during summer. But otherwise everything was great.

"A best way to accommodate a family to visit London"
The location is perfect, inside zone 1 underground. It has supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The hosts gave shampoo, conditioners, soap, coffee. The rooms were very clean with clothes and towels for every guest.

"Great accommodation"
We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation. The location was perfect — a quiet neighborhood with a lovely park just a short walk away, which was ideal for the kids to unwind and play. Public transport was easily accessible, with bus stops conveniently nearby, making it simple to get around without a car.
The self check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, which we really appreciated after a long journey. The home was thoughtfully equipped with excellent facilities. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals comfortably, and the bathroom amenities were top-notch — clean, modern, and well-stocked with essentials.
Overall, it was a well-maintained and family-friendly place that made our stay both comfortable and enjoyable. We’d definitely recommend it to others.
