First Impressions
Contemporary Apartments with Private Balconies in Hoxton near Shoreditch, Old Street, Islington by NourNest Apartments sits on a quiet residential street that feels worlds away from the buzz just minutes from your door. The building itself has that modern London look — clean lines, plenty of glass, and honestly, it fits right into the neighborhood without trying too hard. You know what really got me though? Each apartment comes with its own private balcony, which in this part of London is pretty much gold dust.
Location Magic
Mintern Street might not ring a bell, but trust me — you’re basically at the crossroads of some of London’s coolest areas. I mean, you can walk to Old Street’s tech hub in about ten minutes, hit Shoreditch’s vintage shops and street art in fifteen, or wander into Islington’s canal-side pubs without breaking a sweat. The Overground at Hoxton is your friend here, connecting you to the rest of the city when your feet need a break from all that exploring.
The Space Itself
These are proper apartments, not hotel rooms with a kettle shoved in the corner. The kitchen actually works — full-sized fridge, decent cooktop, all the bits you need if you want to whip up breakfast or store those Borough Market finds. The contemporary design doesn’t feel cold or sterile; there’s enough personality in the furnishings to make you feel at home. And that balcony? Perfect for morning coffee while watching the neighborhood wake up.
The Daily Reality
What I really appreciated was how this four-star place handles the practical stuff without making a big deal about it. The Wi-Fi actually works (crucial when you’re trying to navigate London’s endless options), and the heating responds properly — small things that matter when you’re staying more than a night or two. The apartments stay quiet despite being in the heart of everything, which honestly surprised me given how lively this area gets, especially on weekends.
Why Guests Love It
Here’s the thing — you get the independence of your own place with the backup of proper service when you need it. Whether you’re here for a long weekend exploring East London’s food scene or settling in for a work stint in the area, these apartments just sort of work. The combination of being residential enough to feel normal but close enough to everything that matters makes this spot something special, even if the name’s a bit of a mouthful.

"Great stay."
Beautiful, spacious 3-bedroom apartment in a great London location. It has everything you could possibly need, including a full kitchen and laundry facilities (washer/dryer). Only a two-minute walk to the bus. Very convenient and comfortable stay!
What could be improved: Nothing to mention.

"My stay was short but very sweet. I plan to visit again for a long weekend leisure break soon."
The location is in an excellent position walking distances to all the key entertainment in Shoreditch and also for my work at the Moorfields hospital. managed to find free parking neatr the location from 6.30pm to 8.30am and then there is a Church car park nearby for daytime parking if required
What could be improved: I didnt like that I had to leave so soon. I only stayed for one night. Everything in the apartment was perfect!!!

"Perfect apartment for family London trip"
Fabulous apartment for family trip to London. Plenty of space for our group of 7. Beds were comfortable, and the bedrooms were a good size. Having the two bathrooms was great for our group. The kitchen was complete and we were able to pop down to the grocery store for supplies. The Living room was large and having the balcony off the living room was fabulous. WiFi was available for all our needs. The area around the apartment was quiet and there were some great restaurants nearby . Public transportation is close by so it was quick and easy to get around. Definitely will book here again
What could be improved: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about this apartment. This was a great experience much better than getting 3 hotel rooms

"Great place to stay with big group/ family."
Although the location was a bit remote (Old Street tube station about 800 meters), the accommodation was in a pleasant area. There was a grocery store a ten-minute walk away, which was open until late at night. There was also a sports field nearby. It was essentially located on the side of the street, from which there was very good bus traffic. Liverpool Street station was just over 2 km away.
What could be improved: The bathroom plumbing would need cleaning in the meantime. Cookware (specially pans) needs to raplace.

"Great stay."
Very nice apartment. The rooms were spatious enough not to feel caged, but the living room/kitchen was ample and luminous. Great to hold 7 of us comfortably. The kitchen is VERY well equipped with all you may need.
What could be improved: Everything was perfect

"excellent pad from which to explore London with our kids for the first time"
it’s in a really lovely peaceful location with a really good park for the kids on the doorstep and some nice shops nearby.
What could be improved: Only real issue was that London can be really warm and humid at times. air con would make a massive difference in a property like that during summer. But otherwise everything was great.

"A best way to accommodate a family to visit London"
The location is perfect, inside zone 1 underground. It has supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The hosts gave shampoo, conditioners, soap, coffee. The rooms were very clean with clothes and towels for every guest.
