Overview
First Impressions
Look, I’ll be honest — Comfortable bedrooms in central London doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue as hotel names go, but that’s actually part of its charm. This unique boutique hotel without official star rating sits right in Camden, and when I first walked up to the building on Riverfleet, I almost missed it. It’s tucked into a residential block in a way that makes you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s place rather than checking into some corporate chain.
The Camden Connection
What really sold me on this place was the location — you’re genuinely in the heart of Camden, not on some touristy strip pretending to be central. I mean, you can walk to Camden Market in about ten minutes, and the Tube station is close enough that you’ll actually use it instead of defaulting to expensive cabs. The neighborhood has this lived-in feeling that most hotel areas lack, with proper local pubs and corner shops where people actually go about their daily lives.
The Space Itself
The room I stayed in was… well, comfortable is definitely the right word here. It’s not trying to be fancy, but everything you need is there and it works. The bed was genuinely good — none of that too-soft hotel mattress nonsense that leaves you with a backache. There’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped, which honestly surprised me given how tight London accommodations usually are.
Practical Matters
One thing I appreciated was how straightforward everything was. No complicated key card systems that never work, no confusing layout where you need a map to find your apartment. The building feels more like proper London residential living, which means you get a sense of what it’s actually like to live here rather than just pass through. The Wi-Fi worked fine, the heating did what it was supposed to do, and I never had to call anyone to fix anything — sometimes that’s all you really want.
Why It Actually Works
Here’s the thing about this place — it’s not going to wow you with some Instagram-worthy lobby or over-the-top amenities you’ll never use. But if you want to stay somewhere that feels authentically London without paying through the nose for a “boutique experience,” this actually delivers. You’re close enough to everything that matters without being stuck in the middle of tourist chaos, and the whole setup just feels… normal, in the best possible way. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re trying to get a real feel for a city.

"Great location, comfortable bed etc, would happily stay again."
Incredibly handy location, 2 mins from Kings Cross station. Check in was easy, finding the apartment wasn't too hard. The room was comfortable and had mostly everything I needed. Well equipped kitchen, WiFi, bathroom with toilet and separate toilet (both shared with other guests). It's a 3 bedroom flat in a block of flats so there are other guests there too. Felt pretty safe. Room had space to hang clothes, drawers and good sized desk and chair.
What could be improved: A lamp in the bedroom would have been nice. Other guests didn't seem to understand the concept of flushing a toilet.

"Comfortable, cheap, and convenient."
The room was nice with windows that actually opened, a fully equipped kitchen, and easy access.
What could be improved: Tiny shower room shared by six to twelve people.

"Convenient, you get what you pay for, fair enough."
Close to Tube station Kings Cross so in that sense very convenient
What could be improved: I found the area where the apartment was situated a touch dodgy as a solo female traveller.

"Good"
Room was clean
What could be improved: Access was difficult - there are two Riverfleet blocks which made it harder. We had followed Google maps which took us to Camley which was disconcerting that late at night so we were tired, stressed and nervous. Which was nothing to do with the apartment but meant the dark area and difficulty accessing the building made us anxious

"Perfect for a layover near Kings X"
The location is perfect for a layover, easy to find and in just a few minutes from Kings Cross station. The building feels reasonably secure with a front gate (opens by intercom) and another locked door to the block itself.
The flat and room were clean when I arrived. There is a kitchen too (which I didn't use), it looked clean and equipped.
Communication went very smoothly and they even answered my questions when I arrived around midnight.
What could be improved: The mattress felt a bit old or lumpy. The room was cold, but I only stayed for one extra short night so I didn't ask about it. Maybe I couldn't figure out the radiator..
It's a decently priced accommodation very close to a major train station, not a luxury hotel, so one has to adjust the expectations.

"Good"
Room was a great size and had good amenities.
What could be improved: The bed was not comfortable so I didn't sleep very well. The foam mattress was poor quality so I sank into it.
