Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked up to Chelsea flat, convenient and quiet on Lawrence Street, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the exterior — Kings Mansions looks like any other period building in this part of London. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones hiding in plain sight. This four-star spot sits right in the heart of Chelsea, and once you’re inside, you realize why it’s earned such stellar reviews from guests.
The Neighborhood
Lawrence Street is actually one of those perfectly positioned Chelsea addresses that locals love but tourists often miss. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the King’s Road — close enough that you can pop out for dinner or shopping, but far enough away that you won’t hear the weekend crowds stumbling home. I mean, you can walk to Sloane Square in about ten minutes, and honestly, having the District and Circle lines that close makes getting around London so much easier than I expected.
The Space
The apartment itself feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place than a typical hotel room. The layout actually makes sense — there’s proper living space where you can spread out your maps and planning materials, plus a kitchenette that’s genuinely useful if you want to grab groceries from the Waitrose down the road. The whole place has this lived-in comfort that you just don’t get in standard hotel rooms, and the windows face away from the main street, so it really does live up to that “quiet” promise in the name.
Local Life
What I loved most was how it puts you right into Chelsea life rather than tourist London. There’s a great little café around the corner that the locals actually use — you’ll see the same faces grabbing their morning coffee, which is always a good sign. The nearby streets have those independent shops and galleries that make Chelsea feel special, and you’re close enough to the Thames that evening walks along the embankment become part of your routine. Plus, parking around here isn’t the nightmare you might expect, though I’d still recommend using public transport for most things.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gives you the best of both worlds — you’re staying in one of London’s most desirable neighborhoods, but in a space that feels like home rather than a hotel box. The 9.2 rating makes perfect sense when you experience how thoughtfully everything’s been set up. It’s not trying to be flashy or impress you with unnecessary amenities; instead, it just gets the basics really, really right. If you want to experience Chelsea like someone who actually lives there, rather than just passing through, this is honestly one of the better ways to do it.

"Perfectly lovely!"
Surprisingly quiet for a street-facing, ground floor flat. This fabulous modern flat is in such a peaceful neighborhood. Neat as a pin, super clean and well-appointed. Meticulously thought out, this flat has outlets galore, towel warmer, radiant floor heating in the bathroom and a medicine cabinet with interior and exterior lighting.
I noticed that one review complained that there are no nightstands but who needs them when there’s a cubby hole, with lighting and outlets w USB ports in the built-in cupboards on each side of the bed! (PS, the owner must have taken that complaint into consideration because there are little tables beside the bed as well.)
The bed and bedding are very comfortable and there’s ample storage space for clothing and baggage. It’s a nice bright bedroom when the shutters are open but plenty dark when they’re closed .
The cute kitchenette/lounge area has a second tv and a filtered drinking tap in the sink.
The owner was very sweet, and responsive when I had any questions.
If you’re game to walk a few minutes or take a bus for the tube this place is perfect! I just loved that it’s a quaint, quiet, residential neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again.
What could be improved: Can’t think k of a bad thing to say about this stay!

"It was a wonderful place that created no worries about our stay"
It was first floor easy entry, close to everything, a quiet, wealthy neighborhood, and the hosts were there if you needed them. The location was easy to access for events, whether walking, taking a taxi, or catching a train or bus—just a great place. We were there for 5 days, and it was more than sufficient for our vacation. Highly recommend it.
What could be improved: Can't really think of anything. It was great. Small but certainly sufficient for 2 people.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will stay here again when we come to London. Will recommend to my friends and fa"
The apartment is located in a beautiful part of Chelsea, near bus routes, nice parks and a 15 min walk to the underground station.
The apartment was spotless, lovely fresh soft towels, hotel standards and just so comfortable to stay in. Great storage space for clothes and a lovely tv in the bedroom.
What could be improved: Nothing, maybe a bedside light to read would be handy but it didn’t affect our stay.

"Comfortable stay in a lovely area, convenient for buses, shops, pubs and restaurants"
Well furnished and equipped, considering its very small size. Comfortable bed, good lighting, 2 tvs, great shower room and kitchenette with enough equipment for a few nights stay.
Smart, wealthy neighbourhood with a lovely pub (Cross Keys) just a few strides away and bus stops and great shops (Kings Road) within 1/4 mile.
What could be improved: Constant early morning aeroplane noise and some late night noise onstreet immediately outside ground floor bedroom windows (double glazing would help?). Otherwise a quiet place.

"A perfect base from which to explore a wonderful city."
This is a first rate listing. Indeed it is quiet, though only a stone’s throw from the King’s Road and Chelsea Embankment. The bedroom and adjoining shower room are absolutely state of the art, comfortable and sparkling clean. The kitchen is tiny but perfectly fine for breakfast. And who wants to be cooking supper with London’s food scene out there? Lots of buses take you into town and nearby Cadogan Pier offers river transport.
