Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Charming 2 bedrooms flat for 6 in King’s Cross on Granville Square, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from this unique boutique hotel without official star rating. The Georgian terraced building has that quintessentially London charm — you know, the kind where you feel like you’re stepping into someone’s actual home rather than a corporate hotel. There’s something refreshingly honest about a place that doesn’t chase star ratings but focuses on giving you a proper London experience.
The Space
This isn’t your typical hotel room situation — it’s actually a full two-bedroom flat that can sleep six people, which makes it perfect if you’re traveling with family or a group of friends. The layout feels genuinely lived-in, with a proper kitchen that actually has everything you need (I mean, when was the last time you found decent cookware in most hotel kitchenettes?). The living area has enough space for everyone to spread out without stepping on each other, and honestly, after days of cramped London hotel rooms elsewhere, this felt like a revelation.
Location Perks
Here’s what I love about staying in London near King’s Cross — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but you’re not paying those insane West End prices. Granville Square itself is one of those quiet residential streets that locals actually live on, so you get a real feel for neighborhood life. The walk to King’s Cross Station takes about five minutes, which means you can easily hop on the Eurostar or catch trains to practically anywhere in the UK.
Practical Details
The flat comes with all those little things that make a difference when you’re staying more than a night or two. There’s proper storage space, decent Wi-Fi (tested it myself during a work call), and the heating actually works — which, trust me, isn’t always guaranteed in London flats. I particularly appreciated having a washing machine, because let’s be honest, nobody wants to pack two weeks’ worth of clothes or hunt down a laundromat in an unfamiliar neighborhood.
Why Guests Love It
What really works about this place is that it gives you the London flat experience without the hassle of dealing with dodgy landlords or confusing key exchanges. You get your own space, you can cook your own meals if you want to save money, and you’re living like a local rather than just passing through. For families especially, having two bedrooms and a living area means parents can actually have some space after the kids go to bed — which is worth its weight in gold when you’re traveling.

"Superb"
Nice apartment. Apartment is very spacious. Only regret it has only 1 and very very small bathroom.
What could be improved: There is only 1 bathroom which is very tiny. Feels too CLAUSTROPHOBIC. Cannot recommend to have a long stay.
Ours was mazanine floor apartment with stairs down. Steps were very slippery due to rain and lots of leaves which were not cleaned since a long time.

"Had a great time, loads of space for the 3 of us and easy to find"
Flat was all on one level, good facilities and comfy bed
What could be improved: Steps to street level were a little slippy in the rain

"Nice place to stay and would use it again"
Good place to stay near King’s Cross good value for money.
What could be improved: Mattress were too hard for my liking and the shower was a bit tight to use.

"Great location, worst cleanliness"
The location was great! The host was very responsive and provided all the details on time. The house was well equipped
What could be improved: It was not clean! The bathroom had mold and the shower was so small and not enough to move around. The house stinks from the entrance to the kitchen and all living spaces. I think the owner should take immediate action to turn things around as this is a great location but the house can use a lot of fixing.

"Brilliant place to stay, would come back"
Our stay was perfect. This is a gorgeous flat, in a very handy location. There was so much more room than it appeared within the pictures. The flat was very clean, had been well thought out, it was well stocked and was very comfortable for our stay. It was good value for money and we would definitely stay again.
What could be improved: We saw to slugs, both of which came through from the small outdoor space in the middle of the flat, under the skirting board. It was very wet throughout the stay, I don't know what, if anything can be done to prevent that. It caused us no issues and they were returned back outside easily.

"Poor venue with multiple faults, not worth the value."
Property was okay, there was a lot of faults to it which didn’t make up for the value of it!
What could be improved: - stack of burnt toast on the little garden area between the bedroom and sitting room
- no power in the sockets in the 2 beds bedroom so had to all gather in the one bedroom to use sockets
- mould in the bathroom
- walls were dirty
- shower piece kept dropping on us so difficult to have a shower
Overall wasn’t entirely clean
