First Impressions
When I first walked up to Charming 2 Bedroom Apartment with Balcony, Holland Park, Notting Hill, Chelsea, I’ll be honest — the name pretty much says it all, but actually being there hits different. Tucked away on Bard Road in a proper Victorian conversion, this four-star apartment feels like you’re staying at a friend’s place who happens to have really good taste. The building itself has that classic London charm without being overly fussy about it.
Location Wins
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re basically at the intersection of three of London’s most desirable neighborhoods, and you can actually feel it. Holland Park is literally around the corner — I mean, you can pop over for a morning walk through those Japanese gardens without even thinking about it. Notting Hill’s colorful houses and weekend market buzz are a pleasant stroll away, while Chelsea’s King’s Road shopping feels equally accessible. The Tube connections from nearby stations mean you’re not stuck in tourist-land but can easily get anywhere.
The Space Itself
Walking into the room, what strikes you first is how much light floods in — those big Victorian windows really deliver. The balcony isn’t huge, but it’s perfectly sized for morning coffee and feels like a proper little outdoor retreat in the city. The kitchen is actually functional (not just pretty), which matters when you want to grab groceries from the local shops and make breakfast without fuss. Two bedrooms mean you’re not cramped, and honestly, the beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with springs all night.
Living Like a Local
What I really appreciated was how this place lets you slip into London life rather than just observing it. The local coffee shops on the street know their regulars, there’s a proper gastropub within walking distance that doesn’t feel touristy, and you’ll find yourself shopping at the same places actual Londoners use. The balcony becomes your little sanctuary after long days of exploring — perfect for unwinding with a glass of wine while watching the neighborhood settle into evening. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you belong rather than just visiting.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.4 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s not trying to be something it isn’t, but what it offers, it does really well. People keep coming back because it strikes that balance between having space to breathe and being right in the thick of things. Plus, there’s something satisfying about staying somewhere with such an honest name — you get exactly what’s promised, just executed better than you expected.

"West London Stay"
- Great location, directly behind westfields London, near an underground station
- Clean, with lots of extra clean sheets, pillows, and towels
- Beautiful decor - spacious, quality appliances, modern, tastefully designed, and cosy.
- Large rooms, comfy beds, beds in the middle of the room, which also makes it comfortable for two people staying in one room. Large dining table also. Great kitchen, too.
- Secure building and easy communication with owners. They were friendly and helpful.
What could be improved: - Because there were 4 of us, a larger sofa, enough to seat us all would have been ideal.
- I have a personal preference for walk-in showers that would have made it a 10 for me. But there was a good shower over a bathtub.
- Carpet is a little old but was cleaned properly.

"Decent alternatives stays to hotel in London."
The house has quite a stunning view toward Westfield and the balcony is pretty nice, the living room decoration is lovely, the kitchen is well-equipped, the bedroom is spacious and the bed is very comfortable, I have meeting and need to work, the Wifi is speedy and stable
What could be improved: The elevator is out of order during our stay and it seems the management is not aware of it, we are a group of three with two 29 inches suitcase so it was quite demanding to lifted up the staircases.

"Clean apartment with a good location"
The apartment was very clean and very close to the underground.
The management were very quick to reply when contacted and were very clear with their response.
What could be improved: Some confusion with the access to the property.

"Ideal stay for a small family"
The location was ideal for shopping and accessing the city, thanks to its proximity to the tube station. The property was clean and spacious, which met our needs perfectly.
What could be improved: My rating would be 9.5 for the service and the cleanliness. I would have given it a 10 if it had one more toilet.

"Very good"
We were looking for a place to stay in London on really short notice as the other place we booked was cancelled on the day of arrival. So really thankful that we could drop off our luggage and having a place to stay. Short walking distance to Notting Hill centre and the Westfield shopping mall.
What could be improved: It was really close to a main road, so it was either really loud or really hot in the apartment.

"Great family stay in London"
Great place, prompt response on questions. Excellent location, few minutes from tube and westfield. Overall very nice apartment, which I can strongly recommend.
What could be improved: The toilet sometimes required a few flushes.

"Nice place, good location, close to station"
Beautiful place, good location, easy to get back and forth from the office and close to train station. The host was really good.
What could be improved: Thought the carpet could be a little cleaner

"Good and Comfortable stay"
The property was in good condition and comfortable to stay. It is as it appears in the pictures. Interior was good.
Additional foldable mattresses proved useful.
What could be improved: Washroom- Upon using the washroom for the first time, we noticed that the bin was not cleared and cleaned. There were used toilet paper in the bin.
Towel rail wasn’t heating.
Kitchen- there was a large and thick coffee stain near the gas stove.
Also number of utensils and cutlery was quite less.
Heating system was not working. Despite repeated reminders the same could not be corrected.

"Warm apartment"
Very close to an underground tube station- Latimer Road which made getting around London so easy.
Good size for a family of 4-5 adults/young adults, although 5th person slept on fold out mattress on the floor or air mattress,but after long days out seeing sites- it didn't matter.
Very warm in winter - we didn't need to use the heating at all.
Hosts were always very responsive and helpful at all times and allowed us early checkin after arriving early in the morning.
Use of kitchen facilities and washing machine helped save money.
What could be improved: Situated in an industrial type area- near a major highway, (although we didn't hear it because it's winter and windows are double glazed).
Kitchen could have a few more utensils such as bottle opener/ cheese grater/ oven dish or two.

"Very good"
The location was great, close to undereground station, the host replied fast.
What could be improved: I think the location of the property (they have multiple apartments) should be shared before checking in, as we were counting on the location stated in the booking. I got the location less than 24h before coming, after I asked, when will we get informations about check in.
The futon mentioned in the booking is actually an air-mattress.
Also the cups and chairs are only for 4 people.
