Carnaby Studios by Indigo Flats
First Impressions
Carnaby Studios by Indigo Flats sits on a quiet side street just steps from all the Carnaby Street madness, which honestly is perfect timing. You get that four-star polish without the tourist chaos right outside your door. The building itself has this modern boutique feel — not trying too hard to be trendy, but definitely not your standard chain hotel either.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about Silver Place: you’re literally a two-minute walk to Oxford Circus, but the street itself is actually peaceful. I mean, you can pop over to Liberty for shopping, grab dinner on Carnaby Street, or walk to Regent Street without dealing with the noise all night. The Tube connections are brilliant too — Oxford Circus station handles four different lines, so you’re basically connected to everywhere in London without thinking about it.
The Studios
The room setup is what really works here — these are proper studios with a kitchenette that’s actually functional. I’m talking full-size fridge, decent cooktop, and enough counter space to make breakfast or reheat takeaway without feeling cramped. The sleeping area feels separate from the living space, which makes a huge difference when you’re staying more than a couple nights. Plus, there’s proper storage — not just one tiny wardrobe that barely fits a weekend bag.
Practical Details
The staff actually knows the neighborhood, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how rare that is. They’ll point you toward the good pubs (not just the obvious ones) and know which Carnaby Street spots are worth your time versus total tourist traps. Housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and the Wi-Fi actually works properly throughout the building — I’ve stayed in much pricier places where that wasn’t guaranteed.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t about fancy amenities or over-the-top service. What Carnaby Studios does well is give you a proper base in Central London that feels more like a temporary flat than a hotel room. You can actually live here for a week, cook some meals, and not feel like you’re camping out. The location means you can walk to West End shows, pop into Soho for dinner, or head to Mayfair without planning your whole day around transport. It’s that sweet spot where you’re paying for the location and independence, not just a bed for the night.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
