Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Buckingham & Lloyds Knightsbridge on Herbert Crescent, you’ll notice it doesn’t scream luxury hotel from the street — and that’s exactly the point. This five-star property sits in a row of elegant Victorian townhouses, blending seamlessly into one of London’s most exclusive neighborhoods. I mean, you’re literally steps from Hyde Park Corner, and honestly, the understated entrance makes you feel like you’re staying at a very posh friend’s place rather than a commercial hotel.
The Neighborhood Experience
Knightsbridge is one of those areas where you can walk to Harrods in about eight minutes, but also find yourself wandering through quiet residential streets that feel worlds away from the tourist crowds. The hotel’s location on Herbert Crescent puts you right in the thick of it — Harvey Nichols is practically around the corner, and you’ve got Hyde Park as your front garden. What I love is how you can grab morning coffee at one of the local cafés and actually feel like a temporary resident rather than just another visitor.
The Accommodation
The room I stayed in was part of their luxury apartment-style setup, and it felt genuinely residential in the best way possible. You know how some hotels try too hard to feel homey? This place actually succeeds. The space was generous by London standards, with tall ceilings and period features that remind you you’re in a beautiful Victorian building. The kitchenette was particularly useful — not just the usual hotel mini-bar situation, but an actual space where you could prepare a proper breakfast or late-night snack.
Dining and Amenities
While there isn’t a traditional hotel restaurant on-site, this actually works in the property’s favor. The residential feel means you’re encouraged to explore the incredible dining scene right on your doorstep. That said, the concierge service is exceptional — they secured me a last-minute table at a Michelin-starred place in Belgravia that I’d been trying to book for weeks. The spa facilities are intimate rather than sprawling, which I appreciated after walking around London all day.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it understands what discerning travelers actually want from a luxury London experience. You’re not paying for flashy lobbies or over-the-top service — you’re investing in location, space, and that rare feeling of living like a well-heeled Londoner for a few days. The staff treats you like a valued neighbor rather than a hotel guest, and there’s something refreshing about that approach. Plus, parking is available, which anyone who’s driven in central London will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

"Exceptional stay!"
We absolutely loved the location of this property. The street is peaceful and quiet with very little traffic, yet it's just a short walk to Harrods and a variety of great restaurants. The apartment’s decor is stunning and clearly designed with great attention to detail. We were especially impressed by the comfort of the bed, duvet, and pillows, which made for a great night's sleep. The addition of TVs in the bedrooms was a thoughtful touch that you don't often find in rental apartments. The location truly is ideal, and the check-in process was seamless. The team at Buckingham and Lloyd’s were incredibly helpful and attentive. It really felt like the perfect home away from home!
What could be improved: It was perfect!

"Incredibly located luxury private apartment moments in the heart of Knightsbridge."
The location is exceptional being a few minutes walk away from Harrods yet the street is quiet and the building beautiful. The apartment itself is very spacious, both bedrooms are huge with copious storage and luxurious en-suite bathrooms. It is also served by direct lift access and was impeccably well maintained and clean. Highly recommended.

"10/10 – A Luxury Upgrade in the Heart of London!"
I usually stay at The Berkeley when visiting London, but this time I decided to try Buckingham & Lloyds Knightsbridge—and I’m so glad I did! The apartment offered a level of space and privacy that you just don’t get with hotels, without compromising on luxury or service.
The location is unbeatable—steps from Harrods, Hyde Park, and Sloane Street. The apartment itself was beautifully designed, with a fully equipped kitchen, super-comfy beds, and marble-detailed bathrooms stocked with Molton Brown toiletries. Self-check-in was effortless, and the staff were always just a WhatsApp message away. They even arranged baggage assistance upon request, which was a great help.
If you're looking for a sophisticated and seamless stay in London, Buckingham & Lloyds is hard to beat. It was an incredible experience, and I’ll definitely be returning!

"Superb"
The location is fantastic and the unit is beautiful. We heard no noise from other units. Bedding was comfortable. I would recommend it to friends.
What could be improved: There should be a manual explaining things, like how to operate the HVAC system. The AC in one bedroom didn't stop at the set point- it kept getting colder all night. Washing machine instructions would be good as well.
