Bromley Station
First Impressions
Bromley Station caught my attention right away — not just because of its name, but because it’s actually positioned perfectly for exploring South London without the chaos of staying in Zone 1. I’ll be honest, when I first saw the address on High Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a room in Broadway House, but this four-star spot surprised me in all the right ways.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about staying in Bromley — you’re genuinely close to everything that matters, but you can actually breathe. The train connections into central London are frequent and reliable (I mean, it’s literally called Bromley Station for a reason), and you’ll find yourself in the heart of the city in about 20 minutes. What’s really nice is that High Street has this lived-in feel with proper shops and cafes that locals actually use, not just tourist traps.
The Space Itself
The flat is on the 6th floor, which honestly gives you some decent views over the neighborhood. It’s got that modern apartment feel — clean lines, good lighting, and everything you need without feeling cramped. The kitchen setup is actually functional (I made proper coffee every morning), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase the entire time.
What Works Well
You know what impressed me most? The attention to practical details that business travelers and longer-stay guests actually care about. Good WiFi that doesn’t cut out during video calls, decent water pressure, and parking that doesn’t require a degree in urban planning to figure out. The building feels secure too — proper entry system and well-maintained common areas that don’t make you question your life choices.
Why Guests Love It
This place hits that sweet spot between hotel convenience and apartment flexibility. You’re not dealing with tiny hotel rooms or fighting for elevator space with tour groups, but you still get the reliability and service standards you’d expect from a four-star property. Plus, if you’re planning to explore South London’s growing food scene or need easy access to Croydon or Kent, the location actually makes perfect sense — something you don’t realize until you’re here.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
