Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Bright 1BR Flat Walk to Hyde Park, Queensway and Paddington on Kensington Gardens Square, I was immediately struck by those classic white Victorian facades that make this corner of London so photogenic. The building sits on one of those leafy garden squares that locals are protective about — you know, the kind where residents actually have keys to the private garden in the middle. It’s the sort of five-star luxury that doesn’t shout about itself, which honestly feels very London to me.
The Space Itself
The flat itself is what estate agents would call “bright” — and they’re actually not lying for once. Large windows face the garden square, so you get proper natural light flooding the main room throughout most of the day. The kitchen is surprisingly well-equipped for a London apartment rental — I mean, you can actually cook a proper meal here, not just heat up sandwiches. The layout works brilliantly; it’s one of those places where everything feels intentionally placed rather than just crammed in.
Location Magic
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally two minutes from Hyde Park’s Italian Gardens, which most tourists never find. Queensway is right there with its mix of proper restaurants and late-night Lebanese places (the shawarma at Al-Dar is legendary among locals). Paddington Station is close enough that you can drag your suitcase without breaking a sweat, but far enough that you don’t hear the train announcements. Lancaster Gate tube station is probably your best bet for getting around, though Queensway works too.
The Neighborhood Feel
This part of Bayswater has that lived-in luxury feel — you’ll see dog walkers heading to Hyde Park at 7 AM and families speaking about five different languages on any given street corner. There’s a Tesco Express around the corner for basics, but honestly, Borough Market isn’t that far if you want to do the proper London food shopping thing. The streets are quiet enough that you can actually sleep with windows open, which is rare for central London.
Why Guests Love It
What really works here is the balance — you get the luxury of a proper London address with garden square views, but it’s not so precious that you’re afraid to actually live in it. The fact that you can walk to Speaker’s Corner for Sunday morning entertainment, then pop over to Notting Hill for brunch, then be back home for an afternoon nap? That’s the kind of flexibility that makes a London stay feel less touristy and more like you’re borrowing someone’s rather nice life for a week. Plus, there’s something satisfying about having your own key to a proper London front door rather than checking in at some anonymous hotel lobby.
Hotels in London dot historic Covent Garden, royal squares, and creative quarters brimming with artisan markets.

"Good, a few minor changes would make it very good."
The location is good as there are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, and Queensway, Bayswater and Paddington stations are not too far away.
The flat is roomy and has most things you need.
The kitchen is well-equipped appliance-wise (oven, microwave, dishwasher, freezer, fridge, coffee makers, etc).
What could be improved: There were a number of differences between the listing on booking.com and what the host later said. These included parking (there is none) and check-out time (host said 10:00, booking.com said 11:00). Parking is not the easiest as most locations are for residents only.
The flat needs a few updates to make it a better place to stay. Two window panes are cracked, the curtains are scrappy with loose cords, the rug in the living room is very slippy, and there aren't really any microwave dishes (just two reused takeaway containers).
Just a little thought and TLC would transform the flat from good to very good.

"Great location and nearest to all conveniences"
The location and the staff. Mr. Abdul Aziz was very helpful and very efficient too on checking us in.
What could be improved: The bed and towels in the toilet. The bed and the covers as well as the pillows could be changed and bring better ones. Also bring newer better quality towels in the toilet

"Lovely apartment in Kensington"
Location was amazing. Some nice restaurants and coffee shops close by. Plus walking distance to Portobello Road amd Hyde park.
The apartment was lovely and felt like a home from home for the two nights we were there
What could be improved: Nothing.
The lift for the building wasn't working. But honestly, it didn't effect the stay at all as it was only a couple of sets of stairs to the floor we wanted.
