Overview

First Impressions

Brick Lane Apartments sits right in the heart of one of London’s most vibrant neighborhoods, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you’re looking to experience the real East End. The building itself has that converted warehouse feel — you know, exposed brick and industrial touches that actually work rather than feeling forced. When I first walked up, I was struck by how it manages to blend into the streetscape while still feeling like somewhere you’d want to stay.

The Neighborhood

This four-star property puts you right where the action is on Cheshire Street, which means you’re literally steps away from Brick Lane’s famous curry houses and vintage shops. I mean, you can smell the bagels from Beigel Bake in the morning — and trust me, that’s not a bad way to wake up. The area buzzes with street art, weekend markets, and that mix of old-school East End and trendy newcomers that makes this part of London so interesting.

The Apartment Experience

What I really appreciated about staying here is that each apartment actually feels like a proper London flat rather than a generic hotel room. The spaces have character — high ceilings, big windows, and enough room to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The kitchen setup is particularly good if you pick up ingredients from the Sunday markets nearby, though honestly, with so many great eating options around, I didn’t cook much during my stay.

Practical Matters

The Wi-Fi works well (important for staying connected), and while there isn’t on-site parking, you’re so close to everything that you really don’t need a car here anyway. The Tube connections are solid — Liverpool Street is walkable, and you’ve got multiple bus routes practically outside your door. I found the staff helpful when I needed local recommendations, and they clearly know the area well enough to point you toward the good stuff rather than just the tourist traps.

Why Guests Love It

What sets Brick Lane Apartments apart is how it connects you to authentic London life while still giving you the space and amenities you want. You’re not just staying near the action — you’re living in it, at least temporarily. The combination of a proper restaurant scene on your doorstep, genuine local culture, and apartments that feel like home rather than hotel rooms makes this place work for both short visits and longer stays. It’s the kind of spot where you actually feel like a temporary Londoner rather than just another tourist passing through.

"Overall excellent place to stay, whether walking/buses for sighseeing & the Elizabeth Line to LHA"
Location - was excellent for transport to and from Airport and taking buses to all destinations/sight seeing. Area was quiet (even for the usual hustle and bustle of shops/traffic) and only small noise (as to be expected) from other guests coming and going.
What could be improved: Not having 2 keys! - this hindered our movements - we would have been happy to have paid a refundable deposit for an extra set of keys! Oven not working (the hob worked) and lack of baking trays - the top wire self could not be lowered, as it would not fit the lower rungs so we wouldn't have been able to cook off pizza's even if the oven did work.

"Good"
The flat was very spacious for 3 adults. The area had many vintage shops, places to eat and good coffee. The host communicated very well.
What could be improved: The walls are thin and you hear everything going on. You hear the conversations from people walking on the street below, the traffic etc. One night at midnight, there were lines of cars peeling out and racing, honking for almost an hour. So loud. Make sure you have ear plugs. Also, the bed is very firm. That's fine if you are used to that.

"Pleasant"
- Good location - Relatively easy to find the apartment - Nicely decorated - Comfortable beds - Responsive host to get a second pair of keys
What could be improved: The flat just lacked the basic things that would make it great, i.e.: - Not enough towels (just 2 in total for showering, none for the kitchen, none for the hands, none for the bathroom floor) - though the host was responsive and brought some more the day after. - 1-person sized blankets for a 2-people beds - some spare blankets but no cover to put on - No sponge in the kitchen, a coffee machine but no filters - Very noisy building, the windows felt so thin we could hear everything from the street as if we were there So overall not too bad, but the addition of small details makes the overall experience "mehh"

"Great stay , will recommend and book again"
The location is exceptional, excellent restaurants and shops all around in close proximity. The tube station Aldgate East is only 10 mins walk. The room size are huge for London apartments. the bed and beddings and room were very clean , without any clutter. The toilet is huge and very clean , much larger than what you would expect. It was very easy to get into the flat although we were late , as a lady was waiting with the key, the staffs were very accommodative and maintained a constant contact on text until we reached.
What could be improved: The shower cubicle and toilet sink has slow water drainage , need to be looked at . The top floor on the 4th floor without a lift need to be mentioned , more so because lot of elderly travellers with suitcases and luggage may find it difficult to climb the stairs. It was easy for us , but my uncle auntie would have appreciated a lower level accommodation.
