Overview
First Impressions
Boutique Apartments sits on a busy stretch of Walworth Road, and honestly, the exterior doesn’t immediately scream “boutique” — but that’s kind of the point. This four-star property is all about understated comfort rather than flashy lobbies. When you step inside, there’s this immediate sense of calm that contrasts nicely with the bustling street outside.
The Neighborhood Reality
Let me be straight with you about London — Southwark isn’t Covent Garden, but that’s exactly why it works. You’re actually in a proper London neighborhood where real people live, work, and grab their morning coffee. The Elephant and Castle tube station is a decent walk (about 10 minutes), and while some might see that as a drawback, I found it refreshing to stay somewhere that wasn’t crawling with tourists at every corner.
The Space That Matters
The apartment I stayed in felt more like a proper London flat than a hotel room — which is the whole appeal here. The kitchen wasn’t just for show either; it had everything you’d actually need if you wanted to cook a meal or just store some groceries from the local shops. The living area had this lived-in quality that made it easy to settle in for more than just a night or two.
Practical London Living
What struck me most was how the place handles the little things that matter when you’re actually living somewhere temporarily. There’s proper parking available (and you know how rare that is in London), plus the kind of storage space that lets you unpack properly. The whole setup feels designed by someone who understands what travelers actually need — not just what looks good in photos.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
The 8.3 rating makes sense once you spend a few days here. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in London, but it delivers on the promise of giving you a genuine slice of local life. The staff know the area well and can point you toward the good curry houses and proper pubs that tourists usually miss. For the price point, you’re getting significantly more space and independence than you’d find in most central London hotels — and sometimes that extra breathing room is exactly what you need in a city that can feel overwhelming.

"We have a wonderful stay."
The location is quite good for us and convenient. Check-in is very convenient. The room is spacious and we love the kitchen facility. The host is nice and quick to respond to our need.
What could be improved: Actually, I wouldn't say I don't like. But it will be perfect if there is facility for hanging clothes for instant a movable / foldable drying rack will help a lot.

"Very good"
It was freshly renovated and clean, has all you might need, all working. Thank you very much for your care with leaving a socket adapter! Towels are excellent, want same for home!
What could be improved: You need to setup a conditioner, the weather in London was +33degrees, it was unbearable.

"Convenient, quite comfortable and happy to recommend"
Clean, close to bus and underground public transportation since Uber/taxi are expensive in London
What could be improved: Just the responses appear not-a-real time . But it works out well as we were not in an urgent situation

"Very good"
The bus stop is right on the doorstep. The metro and train are slightly further away. But buses cover most of the area so it's ok. There are many shops nearby, so it's easy to buy. The room is fully equipped and clean.
What could be improved: Blinds do not block out light. The soundproofing is average, but the guests are quiet, so it's fine.

This is a bit of a bargain if you are a solo traveler. The location is great - you can walk into the city in 30 minutes or get the train there in 5/10. The location is on a busy road but Elephant and Castle is an increasingly up and coming area so there are a wide range of nice cafes and restaurants nearby. There are supermarkets and convenience stores, too. The shower is warm and powerful and the key lock system is very secure and convenient. Highly recommended!
What could be improved: Nothing!

"The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable and the perfect location for my stay in London."
The location in relation to the Highline Building,my son is currently a student living there while studying in London. It's only a 5 minute walk from the room to the student accomadation.
What could be improved: There seems to be little in the way of sound insulation, ear plugs are a must. The main door onto the street could do with some sign writing to let you know you have found the entrance. The entrance is between 2 shops so it wasn't easy to find.

The wall was a bit empty if some pictures on the wall would be more beautiful.
