BnBNova – 2BR Duplex – Notting Hill & Portobello honestly caught me off guard in the best way possible. You know those places that look decent online but then surprise you when you actually show up? This is one of those. The duplex sits right in the heart of one of London’s most vibrant neighborhoods, and I mean — you can practically hear Portobello Road calling from the front door.

The Space

Walking into this four-star duplex, the first thing that hits you is how much space you actually get. The main room flows beautifully into the dining area, and there’s this lovely sense of home rather than hotel sterility. The upstairs bedrooms feel private and separate — perfect if you’re traveling with friends who have different sleep schedules (we’ve all been there). The kitchen is properly equipped too, which I appreciated since grabbing breakfast at Notting Hill cafés every morning can add up quickly.

Location Magic

Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re literally a two-minute walk from Portobello Market. Not “close to” or “near” the market, but actually right there. Saturday mornings become this lovely ritual of wandering through the antique stalls with your coffee, and honestly, it feels like you’re living in the neighborhood rather than just visiting it. The Westway cuts through nearby, so getting to other parts of London is surprisingly straightforward once you figure out the bus routes.

Neighborhood Character

Notting Hill has this interesting mix that changes depending on which street you turn down. One minute you’re surrounded by pastel-colored Victorian houses that look straight out of a film set, the next you’re discovering some tiny restaurant tucked between vintage shops. The area around the duplex sits in that sweet spot where it feels authentically local but still has enough tourist infrastructure that you won’t struggle to find what you need. Evening walks through the residential streets are particularly lovely — there’s always something interesting happening on people’s doorsteps.

"Massive home in the heart of Notting Hill"
This was a great home in Notting Hill and we truly enjoyed our stay. Huge bedrooms, massive living and dining room and a big kitchen as well. Was nice to have a full bathroom and powder room. The hosts were very easy to communicate with, and super responsive
What could be improved: The only thing was the apartment smelled a tad bit mildewy/moldy. I assume because of all of the books and it might be a bit damp.

"It's a nice flat but for the price I expected better service"
It's a brilliant neighbourhood. The flat is on a quiet street but only 100m to some great cafes and pub, and then an easy walk to busier areas of Notting Hill. The location is incredible. The apartment is also really nice, in a quirky sort of way. It's across two levels so really nice and spacious, and we also loved being above street level so even in the unpredictable September weather, the flat was filled with light (and sunshine when it was available). I wasn't too sure about the gym equipment in the master bedroom, but that's just a matter of different tastes and the room is big enough that it doesn't really get in the way!
What could be improved: I found the management company to be really poor. Prior to booking, I messaged to ask if there was a TV in the property as I couldn't see one but they'd advertised "streaming services" as an amenity. They didn't reply, but I booked anyway based on the amenity listing, and the fact that the TV was really just a nice-to-have rather than crucial. It turns out there isn't a TV and the management company dismissed my follow-up message by saying the amenity they advertised refers to the internet (which is odd). Over the course of a few days there was really loud drilling in the adjacent apartment and the walls are VERY thin. The management company response was basically "that's your problem", so I decided to write a review to let others know that they might experience the same! You might be lucky and have no issues, but if not, you will get zero support from the management company.

"Notting Hill place"
I absolutely loved staying at this flat! From the moment I walked in, I could tell it was exactly what I was hoping for. The pictures were spot-on, no surprises here—except for how much brighter and cozier it felt in real life. The wifi was fast. Notting Hill got the charm, the cafés, the colorful houses, the vibe. Plus, the famous Portobello Market is just a short stroll away, so if you’re in the mood for some vintage shopping or just want to look at all the lovely antiques you’re in the right place.

Appartamento molto accogliente, in una posizione strategica. Supermercati, metro, negozi e altro, tutto nelle vicinanze. Zona super tranquilla, e vicinato amichevole che ti fa sentire a casa tua. Ottimo il bagno, acqua subito calda, e utile anche il piccolo bagno di servizio. La cucina funziona meravigliosamente, con lavastoviglie, forno, frigo e congelatore, microonde, macchina del caffè ecc... Consiglio assolutamente
What could be improved: Mancanza di condizionatore: abbiamo soggiornato in giorni di particolare caldo e la sera quando rientravamo la casa era veramente un forno. Abbiamo aperto le finestre e acceso i due ventilatori portatili presenti nell'appartamento, ma alla notte il caldo era veramente pesante. Quando la temperatura scende allora diventa accettabile. E infine la mancanza di una televisione, so che può sembrare una sciocchezza, ma dopo una giornata in giro per la città, è piacevole svagarsi con un po di TV. Abbiamo risolto portandoci dietro il tablet collegato al wi-fi, che va velocissimo!

"Exceptional"
J’ai séjourné ici lors d’un voyage d’affaires, et ce fut une excellente expérience. L’emplacement est très pratique, avec tout ce qu’il faut pour un séjour confortable et productif. L’appartement disposait de tous les éléments essentiels, et les instructions pour récupérer les clés étaient claires et faciles à suivre. La caution a été remboursée sans aucun problème. En somme, un séjour agréable et sans accroc - parfait pour un déplacement professionnel.

What could be improved: Le service de clés n est pas des plus simple et nécessite un peu d organisation préalable ( la box key n est pas tte proche quand on voyage avec des valises ! ) Beaucoup de recommandations « strictement » formulées pour un accueil sans aucun humanisme ( pas de bouteilles d eau dans le frigo ni aucune attention aux visiteurs ) et un peu regrettable mais certes les échanges internet sont efficaces …
