Best location for all of London is one of those places where the name makes you raise an eyebrow — I mean, it’s actually in Walthamstow, not central London. But honestly, after staying here, I get what they’re going for. This three-star spot on St James’s Street has a refreshingly straightforward vibe that cuts through all the usual hotel marketing nonsense.
The Walthamstow Factor
Here’s the thing about London — everyone assumes you need to stay in Zone 1 to experience the city properly. Walthamstow actually gives you something different: real London life without the tourist markup. You’re on the Victoria Line, which means you can be at Oxford Circus in about 20 minutes, but your evening pint costs half what it would in Covent Garden. The neighborhood has this brilliant mix of young families, artists, and longtime locals who’ve watched the area transform over the past decade.
What You Get
The room I stayed in was clean and functional — nothing fancy, but everything worked as it should. You know what I appreciated? Proper water pressure in the shower and a bed that didn’t creak every time I moved. The staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than going through the motions, which makes a real difference when you’re trying to figure out the best route somewhere or need a decent coffee recommendation.
Getting Around
Blackhorse Road station is about a 10-minute walk, and from there you’ve got direct access to pretty much anywhere you want to go. What’s clever about this location is that you’re also close to Epping Forest if you fancy escaping the urban chaos for a bit. I actually ended up spending a morning there — it’s like having countryside access while staying in one of the world’s biggest cities.

Look, this isn’t going to be your Instagram-worthy boutique experience, but it delivers on the basics really well. The 8.2 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re paying versus what you get. You’re trading marble lobbies and turndown service for a genuine neighborhood feel and money left in your pocket for actually experiencing London. Plus, there’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t try to oversell itself — sometimes honest simplicity wins out over manufactured charm.

"Perfect for what we needed. Great location and a fantastic host."
We booked for the location, as we were attending an event at the Tottenham Stadium. The apartment was clean and tidy well furnished and perfect for us. The host was excellent, full of local knowledge and happy to help. If you stay here you will not be disappointed. We will definitely look at returning on our next trip to London.
What could be improved: Nothing to dislike.

Nice 2 bedroom flat,you can sleep in living room as well.If you have activity outside room,is pretty ok for 5 people.

"It was a fine place for a short stay"
The property was in a good location for us as it was close to the area where our family lives.
The host was pleasant and met us upon arrival with keys.
What could be improved: The hallway area before entering the property was not well kept, and had an unpleasant smell.
The property itself was fine but smaller than expected, shower very small and wasn’t very warm, only one pillow per person no extras.

"Last minute cancellation by host ruined the trip"
Absolutely nothing.
What could be improved: Me and the host had been in contact in the weeks leading up to the trip. When they decided to cancel, instead of letting me know as a common courtesy given we already had an established communication channel, they instead left a message with booking.com to pass on the message. This approach then allowed for delays in us getting the message and lead to me finding out i had no accommodation just a couple hours before i was due to make ways. Very inconsiderate.

La amabilidad, comunicación y predisposición del inquilino, la cercanía a los supermercados y otros establecimientos comerciales, la conexión de transportes, el buen ambiente del barrio y la limpieza y mobiliario de la casa.
What could be improved: El excesivo calor que hace en la temporada de verano, pues el alojamiento dispone de calefacción pero no de aire acondicionado y si se abren las ventanas el ruido es excesivo, especialmente de noche. También pondría persianas o cortinas tupidas para evitar la excesiva iluminación y facilitar el descanso.
