Overview

First Impressions

When I first walked up to 4 bedroom house in Kensington on Kenway Road, I’ll be honest — it doesn’t scream “hotel” from the outside. This four-star property is literally someone’s converted house, which threw me off initially, but that’s actually part of its charm. The Victorian terrace blends seamlessly into the residential street, and you know what? That made me feel like I was staying in a real London neighborhood rather than some touristy bubble.

The Space Itself

Inside, it’s clear this place was designed for people who need more than just a standard hotel room. The four bedrooms are spread across multiple floors, which worked perfectly when I was traveling with a larger group — everyone had their own space, but we could still hang out together in the common areas. The kitchen is actually functional too, not one of those tiny hotel kitchenettes where you can barely make toast. I mean, we ended up cooking dinner a couple of nights because, let’s face it, eating out in London every meal gets expensive fast.

Location and Getting Around

Kenway Road sits right in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to South Kensington’s big attractions but far enough from the crowds that you can actually think straight. The Natural History Museum is maybe a 10-minute walk — I timed it because I’m that person — and you’ve got Earl’s Court tube station practically around the corner. What I really appreciated was having Tesco Express just down the street, because when you’ve got access to a proper kitchen, you want to use it.

The Practical Stuff

Look, this isn’t going to win any design awards, but everything works the way it should. The beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with a stiff neck, the shower pressure is decent (always a gamble in older London buildings), and there’s actually enough parking nearby if you’re brave enough to drive in central London. The WiFi held up fine when I needed to get some work done, and honestly, the whole setup just felt more relaxed than staying in a traditional hotel where you’re constantly aware you’re in someone else’s space.

Why Guests Keep Coming Back

This place works because it gives you something most London accommodations can’t — actual space to spread out without paying ridiculous money for it. Sure, the 7.8 rating suggests it’s not perfect, and I get that — the furnishing is pretty basic, and don’t expect any fancy amenities. But if you’re the type of traveler who values having your own kitchen, multiple bedrooms, and a genuine neighborhood feel over marble bathrooms and room service, this house delivers. It’s particularly brilliant for families or friend groups who want to experience London like locals rather than tourists just passing through.

"Spacious comfort in a quirky apartment, perfectly located near Earl’s Court"
The apartment offered a very enjoyable stay thanks to its spacious rooms and quirky layout that gave it a unique charm. Its location was excellent, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, making it easy to enjoy the local scene. Being close to Earl’s Court tube station was another major advantage, as it provided quick access to the rest of London. Communication with the host was smooth and straightforward, which made the overall experience feel hassle-free.
What could be improved: On the downside, the process of retrieving the keys from a local convenience store was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the street noise was noticeable at times, especially during the evenings. While the apartment itself was comfortable and well-situated, these minor issues slightly detracted from the overall experience.

"Very good"
Great location, a minute walk from Earls Court tube statiton. The kitchen with all the appliances you need, even the 45 cm wide dishwasher. A bit clumsy narrow stairs, but thats normal in England.

"A lovely stay."
The house is charmingly decorated, and the location is really great. It's just a couple minutes' walk from the tube, and yet the street isn't noisy at night. The hosts were attentive throughout the stay and quick to respond to any questions and communications. The bedrooms were all clean, and the kitchen, though small (which is to be expected in Central London), is well equipped.
What could be improved: There are a few repairs needed around the house (e.g. loose door handle), and one of the wardrobes had laundry bags of used linen in it. The host did come to take them away, but they perhaps should have been removed before we arrived.

"Fabulous property in a super location!"
We booked this property last minute, on the morning of our stay as our original booking was not suitable. From the beginning, Marina was in contact by phone and text, explaining all instructions by lhone and allowing us to drop luggage asap. The property's location is exceptional. It is a minute's walk from Earl Court tube station. The four bedrooms were immaculate, and there is amazing space in this property for a city centre location. All the kitchen utensils and furniture are brand new! The photos are exactly as the property is. For people with small children or mobility issues, there are a number of steps in the property. This didn't bother our group at all, though! We would highly recommend this property.

"We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home, right in the heart of Earl’s Court."
We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home, right in the heart of Earl’s Court. The house is incredibly spacious and full of charm – it’s clear the owners have put a lot of love and thought into every detail. What really stood out, though, was the location. It’s such a peaceful street, yet just a few minutes from Earl’s Court station, so getting around London was a breeze. We also found some great little cafés and shops nearby, and loved being so close to places like Holland Park and Kensington Gardens.
What could be improved: Everything was great

"Superb"
Beliggenhet og renslighet, godt utstyrt kjøkken.
What could be improved: Litt liten vask på badet oppe, men ikke noe stort problem. Burde hatt en skoskje tilgjengelig i gangen.

"Good"
Výborná lokalita, 5 min pěšky od metra, klíče dostupné bez problému v obchodě majitele apartmánu
What could be improved: Na stránce ubytování je chybně uvedeno číslo domu 30, skutečnost je 38 - matoucí.
