"Value for money apartment in fantastic location"
This house was great value for money for a central London base. We were able to walk to many iconic London sites such as Big Ben, London Eye, Buckingham Palace etc. It is also about 10 minute walk from the North Lambert underground station.

"If I were 25 years younger, I probably would have enjoyed the apartment and my stay more."
The location is a bit of a walk to the tube station and if I were not so old and it were a bit warmer in London, the walk would have been fine. We found the location to be quiet in the evening, so no disturbances during sleep, but during the day, our apartment backs on to a sports field with plenty of football matches directly behind us going all day. The building is a bit older and could use a deep clean, but the property was not dirty, just a bit dingy.
What could be improved: The apartment is on the third floor with NO ELEVATOR. The apartment itself is two floors. I chose to sleep in the single bedroom on the first floor of the flat and it was acceptable for me. NO television in my room, but the three upstairs each had its own TV. The mattress is a bit flat and hard, but better (for me) than too soft. The only communal chairs are dining-room chairs--comfortable for eating but definitely not for lounging. Family sessions of talking, etc., were really not done. Everyone ate and went directly to their rooms for comfort. While I had a toilet and sink on the first floor, ALL of us shared a shower/bathtub bathroom on the second floor. There are no rails to hold onto getting into and out of the bathtub and nothing in the floor of the tub to provide traction. I found it very difficult getting into and out of the bathtub. I read and misread the description of the apartment. I DID NOT expect to walk up three flights just to get into the apartment and I DID NOT expect to share one full bathroom with everyone. There were no instructions of how to operate anything in the apartment. There was nothing to welcome us to the area and tell us where we might find restaurants. etc. We were very clear that we were coming from the US with a 13-year-old boy who had never traveled outside the country and coming with his grandmother and great-aunt.
