Overview
First Impressions
Honestly, when I first spotted 2 Bed House ,Close to Bromley South Station , Free Parking on Newbury Road, I wasn’t expecting much — it’s tucked away on a quiet residential street that you’d probably walk past without noticing. But that’s actually part of its charm. This unique boutique hotel without official star rating feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed home than a traditional hotel, and after spending a few nights there, I mean that in the best possible way.
Location & Getting Around
The location is pretty brilliant if you know Bromley. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Bromley South Station — I timed it because the name promised close proximity, and they weren’t kidding. The trains into London run frequently, so you can be in the city center within 30 minutes, but honestly, Bromley itself has enough going on that you might not need to venture far. There’s decent shopping, some solid pubs, and the parking situation (which is genuinely free, by the way) makes this place a real find if you’re driving.
The Space Itself
What you’re getting here is essentially a two-bedroom house that’s been thoughtfully converted for guests. The room I stayed in was surprisingly spacious — none of that cramped hotel feeling you get in central London. The beds are comfortable, the decor is simple but tasteful, and there’s actually space to spread out your luggage without playing Tetris. The kitchen setup is basic but functional, which came in handy for morning coffee and the occasional late-night snack.
Practical Touches
You know what I appreciated most? The little things that show someone’s actually thought about what travelers need. Good Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, enough electrical outlets near the bed, and proper blackout curtains that actually work. The shower has decent water pressure — something you can’t always count on in older British properties. It’s not flashy or Instagram-worthy, but everything just works the way it should.
Why Guests Love It
This place fills a specific niche really well. If you want the independence of having your own space but don’t want to deal with the hassle of a full Airbnb rental, it hits that sweet spot perfectly. The proximity to transport links means you’re not isolated, but the residential setting keeps things quiet at night. Plus, for families or friends traveling together, having two bedrooms and communal space makes way more sense than cramming into adjoining hotel rooms. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — just a comfortable, practical base that happens to be in a really useful spot.

"would stay again"
Perfect location for bromley south station and high street shops. close to green areas for dog walking. the host were very quick to react to any enquiries and very helpful. free private parking was a bonus. very quiet although very close to high street and station. we would be happy to stay there again.
What could be improved: there was only one small coffee table in the living room but was very wobbly so we didnt use it.

"Super location. Cosy, comfortable and family friendly property. We look forward to staying again on our next trip to Bro"
Super location for our trip. House was very clean and comfortable with lots of space. We enjoyed cooking food and watching a movie with Netflix set up on the TV. Beds were very comfortable and despite being a terraced house, we heard no noise from adjoining houses. The shower was hot and powerful. The host was very responsive too which was great.
What could be improved: Although we were notified in advance, the raised curb outside was a little annoying when driving a rental car and being very mindful of damage to it. The towels were too small for an average sized adult. They were fine for children. While nothing can likely done about this, I think it’s worth mentioning for families with younger kids. The wooden floor upstairs is extremely creeky and woke the children when we used the bathroom even with their door closed at night time. None of these things would put us off staying again though!

It's a very neat apartment, it's like home away from home.

"Great location and lovely property"
The property was spotlessly clean and fresh. It had everything we needed for a short stay and
with outdoor space. The location was perfect for us meeting up with friends. We didn't use the train station but would definitely consider staying again if we were going into London as the train station was literally just round the corner.
What could be improved: Very very minor but a mirror in the bedroom would have been helpful.

"Perfect location, warmly recommended, with small adjustments it could so easily be a perfect 10"
This house is perfect in all the basics and it would take very little effort to make it a perfect 10.
The location could not be better: 5 min. walk from Bromley South station with several different connections to London, including a non-stop connection, 18 min. to Victoria. Also just 5 min. From Bromley centre with everything: shops, supermarket, restaurants etc.
Completely quiet, we heard no noise from neighbours or traffic. Small back garden which must be nice in summer.
House is clean, spotless and comfortable. Completely modern bathroom and kitchen with everything incl. fridge with icemaker and freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine etc.
Beds are rather soft, I loved them, husband not so much, depends on your taste.
Water is hot, the house is efficiently heated in all rooms, except there is a timer in the kitchen which restricts the heating to hours between 3pm to 10pm. Imo when you rent a property in winter, you are entitled to heating at all hours, so be aware that you can adjust the timer, so heating works all the time. With heating on the house was snug and warm even in winter.
Wifi is good and effective. The TV has a Netflix account installed. The TV stalled at one point and did not work, but when we switched in off and on again, it worked fine.
The parking space is rather short, so if your car is longer than 4,10 m, it will stick out onto the pavement. Also notice the high curb which is pointed out in the house info.
What could be improved: The house is advertised as having a sofa bed in one living room, and as sleeping up to 5 people. The sofa bed is actually only 150 cm long, and only wide enough for one person. It is therefore only possible to use it as a bed for a child. Only max. 4 adults and 1 smaller child could stay here. This was no problem for us, but as the house is advertised as sleeping up to 5 people this is something guests should be aware of if they are planning to use the sofa bed.
A few details could be improved, which is a shame, as it would only take very little effort to make this place perfect:
The coffee table in the TV room is the tiny Lack table from Ikea, so it is tiny and is also so wobbly it is on the verge of collapse. Just spend 20 pounds on a new and bigger table from Ikea and it would be so much better.
For 4 people for 4 nights we were given 4 mid-size towels (none of them big enough to wrap around a person) and 3 small hand towels. This was a little annoying and seems a bit stingy for 4 people. Also only one tea-towel in the kitchen and no wiping cloth, just one sponge.
The kitchen had some tea, coffee and sugar provided but nothing else, not even salt and pepper.
These are small details which are extremely easy to fix, and if they were fixed, this house would be completely perfect imo.

"Well equipped and cosy house with parking place and good connections..20 min by train to London Victoria station. We lik"
Cosy house with parking place in front very close to Bromley South train station
What could be improved: There are some steps between the end of the stairs and the rooms. Also some steps down in the bathroom entrance..need to be careful if using the bathroom during night.
