Honestly, when I first saw 2bed apt Living room Balcony listed, the name made me chuckle — it’s pretty much exactly what you get, no fancy branding here. This three-star apartment sits on College Place in Camden, and you know what? Sometimes straightforward is exactly what you need. The building itself is typical London residential — nothing flashy, but solid and welcoming once you get inside.
The Space
The apartment actually surprised me with how well-designed it is for the space they’re working with. You’ve got two proper bedrooms that don’t feel cramped, which is honestly rare in London at this price point. The living room is where this place really shines though — it’s got enough space for everyone to spread out without bumping into each other, and that little balcony they mention in the name? Perfect for morning coffee or an evening drink, even if it’s not huge.
Location & Neighborhood
Camden gets a bad rap sometimes for being too touristy, but College Place is tucked away from the main chaos around Camden Market. You’re close enough to walk to all the action — the market, the pubs, the music venues — but far enough that you can actually sleep at night. The Tube connections are solid too; you’ll be on the Northern line in minutes, which gets you pretty much anywhere you need to go in central London.
Practical Bits
The kitchen is properly equipped, not just a mini-fridge and a kettle like some places try to pass off. I mean, you can actually cook here if you want to save some money on eating out every meal. Parking isn’t included, but honestly, you don’t need a car in this part of London anyway — everything’s walkable or a quick Tube ride. The WiFi worked fine for me, and there’s decent natural light throughout, which makes a bigger difference than you’d think.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
Look, this isn’t going to wow you with fancy amenities or over-the-top service, but it delivers on what most travelers actually need. You get space, you get a proper local neighborhood feel, and you’re not paying tourist prices for the privilege. "Lack of response, unclean"
Big place, soft blankets.
What could be improved: Owner didnt respond to chat/phone/mail for weeks. Wont send invoice. Lots of things broken (heat tap shower), mould bathroom ceiling, sheets have unclean spots. Tables were sticky and unclean kitchen stove.

What could be improved: The apartment is in a pretty rough area, we didn’t really feel safe walking around after dark. The washing machine needs a clean out, it left dark marks on our light coloured clothing

"location in a very dirty and poor place"
It is near Camden
What could be improved: These must be buildings owned by very poor people. Everything was very dirty and filled with trash of all kinds, both inside and outside the condominium. There were even sofas and other furniture abandoned by the entrance. The interior is acceptable, but the shower is unusable; it's broken and either burns you or comes out freezing cold. So we had to opt for cold showers, which was a problem in our case, since we were traveling with children.

I liked the fast internet connection and the location
What could be improved: I didn’t like how dirty the apartment and the bedsheets were. The bedsheets were yellow and had blood stains on it and hair. The floor was sticky.

"Terrible. Would not recommend."
Nothing. Couldn’t stay here due to the fact it hadn’t been cleaned from the last guests. Hosts completely unresponsive when told.
What could be improved: Everything. Dirty place are also terrible at communicating. Unmade beds, dirty towels and glasses from last guests. Please do not stay here. We have been trying to get a refund from Bookings since August and have been unsuccessful so far as they have not been able to get in touch with the hosts. Hosts don’t answer messages or emails.
I’m convinced that the few good reviews which are given without any written information are fake.

Do apartamento no geral, da varanda, estava limpo e cheiroso, da localização tão perto do metro e de Camden Town, mas tranquilo!
What could be improved: As luzes na sala piscam apesar do controlador, água do duche para controlar quente/fria é super complicado e desperdiça se muita água até la, 2 rolos papel para 4 pessoas 3 dias, mas nada de especial, foi muito bom na mesma!

What could be improved: Além da caixa para pegar as chaves não ser digital, o que dificulta para pega-las, a senha estava errada. Uma das camas é desconfortável. E por fim, matamos uma aranha por dia.
