2 Bed Apartment- Finsbury Park Station C
First Impressions
I’ll be honest — 2 Bed Apartment- Finsbury Park Station C isn’t going to win any design awards, but there’s something refreshingly straightforward about this place. When I first walked up Fonthill Road, I appreciated how close it actually is to the station (you can literally see it from the street), which makes a huge difference when you’re dragging luggage around London.
The Space
The apartment itself feels like what you’d expect from a three-star rental in this part of town — clean, functional, and surprisingly spacious for the price point. The two bedrooms aren’t massive, but each room has decent natural light, which is honestly harder to find than you’d think in North London properties. The kitchen is where this place actually shines though — it’s properly equipped with everything you need to cook real meals, not just heat up instant noodles.
Location & Neighborhood
Finsbury Park gets a bad rap sometimes, but I actually think it’s one of the more interesting areas to stay in if you want to experience London beyond the tourist bubble. The station connects you to both the Piccadilly and Victoria lines, which means you can get to central London in about 15 minutes, or hop over to Heathrow without any transfers. What I really like about this spot is that you’re walking distance to some genuinely good local places — there’s a Turkish bakery down the road that does incredible börek, and the park itself is actually quite lovely once you get past the slightly chaotic entrance area.
Practical Details
The building feels secure enough, and I never had issues with noise despite being so close to the transport links. Parking can be tricky around here (it’s mostly resident permits during the day), but honestly, you don’t need a car — the transport connections are that good. The WiFi worked fine for streaming and video calls, which isn’t always a given in older London buildings. One thing worth noting is that the heating actually works properly, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many London rentals get this wrong.
Why Guests Choose It
Look, this isn’t the kind of place where you’ll spend hours lounging around taking Instagram photos, but that’s sort of the point. It’s a solid base for people who want to explore London properly without spending half their budget on accommodation. The combination of space, location, and price point makes sense, especially for families or groups who need two separate bedrooms. I mean, you’re getting a proper London address in Zone 2 with transport links that most hotels would charge double for.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
