Artistic Flair 1 BD Cottage in NW11 Sleeps 3
First Impressions
Tucked away on a quiet residential street in Golders Green, Artistic Flair 1 BD Cottage in NW11 Sleeps 3 is exactly what it sounds like — a proper little cottage that someone’s transformed into something quite special. Honestly, I walked past it twice before realizing this was my accommodation for the night. The property has this whole creative vibe going on that you don’t typically find in standard hotels, and I mean that in the best way possible.
The Space Itself
This is essentially a self-contained cottage that feels more like staying at an artist’s retreat than a traditional hotel. The single bedroom is thoughtfully designed with enough space for three people (though I’d say it works best for a couple or small family), and there’s this lovely sitting area that actually makes you want to linger. The kitchen setup is surprisingly well-equipped — I ended up cooking breakfast there because everything I needed was within arm’s reach, which you definitely can’t say about most hotel stays.
Location & Neighborhood
You’re in London but it doesn’t feel like it, if that makes sense. Golders Green has this village-y quality that’s refreshing after dealing with the chaos of central London, and you’re genuinely surrounded by locals going about their daily lives. The Northern Line station is about a ten-minute walk, which gets you into the city center in roughly 20 minutes. What I really appreciated though was having proper neighborhood spots nearby — there’s a fantastic bagel place just down the road that locals queue up for on weekends.
What Makes It Special
The artistic touches aren’t just thrown in for show — there’s clearly thought behind every detail. You’ll find interesting artwork on the walls, quirky furniture pieces that somehow work perfectly together, and little design elements that make you pause and smile. It’s the kind of place where you end up taking photos not because you have to, but because you want to remember these clever little touches. The whole setup feels curated without being precious about it.
Why Guests Love It
This place works brilliantly if you want something different from the standard hotel experience. You get proper privacy, your own front door, and enough space to actually spread out and relax. The hosts clearly know what they’re doing — everything runs smoothly without feeling overly managed. I’d definitely come back, especially if I wanted to explore North London properly or just needed a quiet base that still keeps you connected to everything that matters in the city.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
