Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Arosfa Hotel London by Compass Hospitality on Gower Street, you immediately get that classic Bloomsbury vibe — Georgian terraced houses lined up like old friends having a chat. This three-star spot isn’t trying to be flashy, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. The entrance feels like stepping into someone’s well-kept townhouse, which I suppose it sort of is.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s brilliant about staying in Camden? You’re right in the thick of intellectual London without the tourist chaos. The British Museum is literally a five-minute walk away, and you can actually enjoy it because you’re not rushing back to some distant hotel. Russell Square tube station is close enough that you’ll never stress about getting around, plus the neighborhood has this lived-in feeling that makes you feel like a temporary local rather than just another visitor.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully arranged — no wasted space, everything where it should be. The bed was comfortable enough that I actually slept well despite the London street noise (though the windows do a decent job of muffling things). What I appreciated most was how clean everything felt, from the bathroom fixtures to the carpeting. It’s not Instagram-perfect, but it’s properly maintained, which matters more when you’re actually living in the space.
Dining & Practical Matters
The breakfast setup is straightforward — nothing fancy, but they do a proper English breakfast that’ll fuel you for a day of walking around the city. There’s no on-site restaurant for dinner, but honestly, you’re in Bloomsbury — some of London’s best pubs and eateries are right outside your door. The staff actually knows the area well enough to point you toward places locals eat, not just tourist traps.
Why Guests Love It
Here’s the thing about Arosfa — it gets the basics right without any unnecessary fuss. You’re paying for a clean, comfortable place to sleep in one of London’s most interesting neighborhoods, not for marble lobbies or concierge services you probably won’t use anyway. The value proposition makes sense, especially when you factor in how much you’ll save on transport costs by being so centrally located. It’s the kind of place where you’ll spend your money exploring the city instead of paying for hotel amenities you’ll barely touch.

"Very good"
The location is excellent. The breakfast was very good, personalised full cooked breakfast along with buffet continental. The room was quiet. The hotel kept 3 bags whilst I explored London for a few hours.

"Truely recommanded place with super kind staff."
We liked the lovely neighbourhood, the quiet and secure street. The bed was very comfortable, the size of the room was really big (we had an other night with in a half big sized room), we had enough space to handle our luggages. The staff was really kind and helpful.

"Excellent value, great location"
Clean, characterful, excellent location, quiet.
What could be improved: Shower could have better but that is nitpicking.

"Single night stay 16.10.25"
Was a well appointed room
What could be improved: TV remote button had all the logos worn off which rendered the TV un usable. As was the shower as the size of it didn't allow me to raise my arms to wash my hair. And I'm not excessively large.

"A lovely tiny place for one in the centre of London"
A lovely place to stay in London. The room was small, but comfy, it had everything I needed. I can assume that the place is run (or designed) by a woman (if it's not, no offence please 😀). Because every little thing is in its place: the night stand, the lamps, the fans (as the old historic building has no air conditioning), the shelves and hangers. It even has a European socket. The hairdryer is a full-size one (not a usual hotel one) and has a long cord. Anyone with long hair and hotel experience will appreciate it. The bathroom also has shelves where you can conveniently place your personal stuff, so you don't have to put your shampoo and hairbrush on the floor (IYKYK).
The shower system is new, modern and incredibly comfortable, I love it. As well as the shiny tiles.
The main thing is that it was completely quiet at night, so I slept amazing without earplugs.
It's incredible when you wake up early in the morning in the centre of London, make coffee, open the window and hear birds singing.
What could be improved: Of course, it would be great to freshen up the walls and the bed, but it's still a great place for a good price for central London. The bed is double, but the room may not be big enough for two people. On warm September days, the room was a bit stuffy during the day, so please note that it can be hot in summer.

"Overall a positive stay"
Very central location - great food variety at the breakfast Buffett - very friendly staff
What could be improved: Rooms without AC - during Aug summer heat unbearable - with open room windows we could hear loud motorbikes at night - no elevator - difficult to bring our heavy bags up and down the stairs

"Pleasant stay"
The room was small but charming and exceptionally clean. The bathroom was spotless as well, with plenty of hot water and complimentary shower gels and toiletries provided.
What could be improved: It would have been lovely if bottled water had been provided alongside the tea amenities. Also, please note there isn’t 24/7 staff on-site—when I arrived late, I had to ring the doorbell, but someone kindly opened the door right away.
