Archway Oasis – Beautiful & Spacious – Close to Central LDN
First Impressions
Archway Oasis – Beautiful & Spacious – Close to Central LDN caught me off guard in the best way possible. I’ll be honest — when I first saw the address on Girdlestone Walk, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this corner of London. But stepping into this four-star property, I immediately understood why it’s earned such stellar reviews. The space feels genuinely expansive, which is something you don’t often find in London without paying through the nose.
The Space That Surprised Me
What really impressed me was how thoughtfully laid out everything is. The main room has these lovely high ceilings that make the whole place feel airy, and there’s actually enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The kitchen area is properly equipped too — I mean, you can actually cook a real meal here, not just heat up instant noodles. The big windows let in loads of natural light, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two.
Location That Actually Works
Here’s the thing about Islington — people either love it or don’t really know it. I fall into the first camp, and staying here reminded me why. You’re close enough to central London that getting around is dead easy, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the chaos and tourist crowds every time you step outside. The Archway area has this nice residential feel, with proper local pubs and cafes where you can grab a decent coffee without queuing behind fifty other visitors.
The Practical Stuff
Transport links are actually brilliant from here — the Northern line gets you into the heart of things quickly, and I found myself in Kings Cross in about fifteen minutes. There’s parking available too, which is honestly a godsend if you’re driving in London. The neighborhood has everything you need within walking distance: proper supermarkets, a few good restaurants, and those little convenience shops that stay open late when you realize you’ve forgotten something essential.
Why Guests Love It
What sets this place apart is that it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s not pretending to be a boutique hotel in Covent Garden, and it’s not trying to compete with the big chains near Heathrow. Instead, it offers something actually quite rare — genuine space and comfort in a real London neighborhood. You get the feeling of living like a local rather than just passing through as a tourist, and that 9-point rating makes perfect sense once you’ve spent a few nights here.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
