Apartment – Sleeps 4 – Garden – Parking
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Apartment – Sleeps 4 – Garden – Parking on Norwich Crescent, I’ll be honest — it doesn’t scream “hotel” in the traditional sense. This four-star property is actually a self-contained apartment tucked away in a quiet residential area of Romford, and that’s exactly what makes it work so well. The moment you step inside, you realize you’re getting something different here — more space, more privacy, and honestly, more value than most hotel rooms in the area.
The Space That Surprised Me
The room setup here is genuinely clever. You’ve got proper sleeping arrangements for four people without that cramped feeling you usually get when hotels try to squeeze in extra beds. The kitchen is what really sold me though — it’s not some tiny kitchenette with a broken microwave, but an actual functional space where you can cook proper meals. I mean, when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two, being able to make your own breakfast or grab snacks from the local Tesco saves you a fortune.
Location & Getting Around
Romford gets a bit of a bad rap sometimes, but this particular street is actually quite pleasant — tree-lined and residential without being boring. You’re about a 15-minute walk to Romford station, which puts you on the Elizabeth Line straight into central London in about 25 minutes. What I really appreciated was having that dedicated parking spot — try finding that in Zone 6 for less than £20 a day elsewhere. The local area has everything you need within walking distance, including a decent pub called The Unicorn that does surprisingly good Sunday roasts.
The Garden Advantage
Here’s something you don’t get in most London accommodations — actual outdoor space. The garden isn’t huge, but it’s private and well-maintained, perfect for morning coffee or letting kids burn off some energy. During my stay in late spring, I actually found myself spending quite a bit of time out there in the evenings. There’s something refreshing about having your own little patch of green space, especially after a day of navigating crowded London streets.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gives you the independence of having your own space without sacrificing comfort or convenience. The apartment is clean, well-equipped, and feels more like staying at a friend’s place than in some impersonal hotel chain. Families particularly seem to love it — I chatted with the previous guests who mentioned how much easier it made their London trip having somewhere to spread out and actually relax. For the price point and location, you’re getting exceptional value, especially if you’re planning to stay more than just a quick overnight stop.
Apartments in London suit families with bright bay windows, full kitchens, and sunset loops through Hyde Park paths.
