Overview
First Impressions
Andora Apartments sits on a quiet residential street in Leyton, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. When I first pulled up to the building on Sanderstead Road, it felt refreshingly different from those cookie-cutter hotel chains — this apartment-style setup gives you space to actually breathe. The entrance is understated but clean, and you get the sense that this four-star property focuses more on substance than flashy lobbies.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about staying in Leyton — you’re genuinely in a London neighborhood where people actually live. London can feel overwhelming with all the tourist crowds, but this area gives you a break from that intensity. The High Road is a five-minute walk away with proper local shops and cafes, not just tourist traps. You know what’s really handy? Leyton tube station is close enough that getting into central London doesn’t feel like a mission, but you’re tucked away from all the chaos when you want to decompress.
The Space
What sets these apartments apart is the actual living space you get. My room felt more like a proper flat than a cramped hotel box — there’s a separate seating area where you can actually spread out your stuff. The kitchen setup is pretty decent too; I mean, it’s not going to win any design awards, but it’s got everything you need if you want to grab groceries and cook something instead of eating out every night. The whole place feels like someone’s well-maintained London flat that you’re borrowing for a few days.
Daily Life Here
The staff keeps things running smoothly without being overly formal about it. I appreciated that they gave me proper local recommendations when I asked — not just the obvious tourist spots, but places where you’d actually want to eat. Parking can be sorted if you’re driving, though honestly, once you’re here, the tube connections make a car feel unnecessary. The building stays quiet even with other guests around, which tells you something about both the soundproofing and the type of travelers who choose this place.
Why Guests Love It
Look, if you want marble bathrooms and a concierge in a top hat, this isn’t your spot. But if you want a proper base in London that doesn’t make you feel like you’re living in a shoebox, Andora Apartments delivers. The 8.3 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting — space, a real neighborhood feel, and staff who treat you like a person rather than a room number. It’s the kind of place that works whether you’re staying three days or three weeks, and that flexibility is worth something in a city where most accommodations feel like they’re pushing you out the door.

"Lovely stay"
It was lovely, a lot of thought had gone into making sure everything you could need at the apartment was there. The parking around the back also was great. Beds are very comfortable and the cleanliness was amazing. Whenever I'm in London again, this will always be my first choice to book
What could be improved: Not a massive thing but the blinds do not block out any light in the morning and curtains in the bedrooms would be a great help

"Very good"
Host was very helpful, the apartment was clean and spacious. The beds were very comfy and was in a very convenient location. The private parking was also a bonus.
What could be improved: The WiFi was not that great, it did keep cutting out but the host did help try to fix. The apartment was really hot, I think during summer months would be good if a fan could be supplied.

"Excellent stay with secure parking and great transport links into London."
This was an absolutely brilliant place for us to stay to attend an event at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and also to visit the tourist attractions in London. The location is super close to Lea Bridge train station, which is only a few minutes ride to Stratford or Liverpool St for shopping and tourism, or Northumberland Park for the stadium.
The host was super helpful in getting us into the property via a phone call, and we were able to park in the secure car park behind the apartment block. The apartment itself is really spacious, with large bedrooms and a huge open-plan lounge/dining room/kitchen. The bathroom was well-appointed and had plenty of space, and everything throughout the flat was very clean, tidy and comfortable. I will definitely remember this place for any future visits.
What could be improved: The only minor criticism I can make is that another pillow for each person would have really helped. It was quite warm at night so possibly a fan might help, but we were able to open the windows to get cool air flowing through and it was surprisingly quiet.

"Spacious apartment, but missing some essentials"
The apartment had good sized rooms and comfortable beds. The lift was great.
What could be improved: We asked for towels as there were only 2 but we were three guests. These arrived the following morning long with tea towels. There were no coat hangers even though I asked for these and only a 3/4 used toilet roll. We asked for both but they didn't arrive. We had to get our own toilet rolls.

"Nice place in a quiet area"
Located a bit far from city center. But a good choice if you need a sound sleep at night as the apartment is in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood.

"Superb"
Was Clean and Close to the Lea Bridge Railway Station.
What could be improved: The bathroom heater is too close to the Comode. They need a better chair for the writing desk.

"Superb"
Upgraded to a house with a garden, instead of an apartment. The host replied quickly to any queries. We would definitely book this particular property again if we came back to London.
What could be improved: We had no issues or dislikes about either the property or the area.

"Good for a short stay where you just need somewhere to sleep/stop by."
It has all of the required facilities, was well furnished, in a good location (shops nearby for essentials and the tube was a 5 minute walk).
What could be improved: The beds weren’t very comfortable.
