Overview
First Impressions
The Amazing Finsbury Park Studio sits on Fonthill Road in a way that feels authentically London — you know, one of those converted Victorian buildings where someone’s clearly put thought into making the most of every square foot. It’s a four-star setup, and honestly, the 8.4 rating makes sense once you step inside and see how they’ve maximized the space without making it feel cramped.
Location & Getting Around
Being in Islington puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to central London but still in a neighborhood that actually feels like people live there. Finsbury Park station is just a few minutes’ walk, which means you’ve got the Piccadilly and Victoria lines right there — I mean, you can be in King’s Cross in about ten minutes. The area around Fonthill Road has that mix of corner shops, decent pubs, and the kind of cafés where locals actually hang out, not just tourists.
The Studio Space
Here’s where the Amazing Finsbury Park Studio really gets it right — the room is designed like someone who actually travels regularly planned it out. You’ve got a proper kitchenette that’s more than just a mini-fridge and kettle situation, which is honestly a game-changer if you’re staying more than a night or two. The layout flows well, and there’s enough storage space that you’re not living out of your suitcase the entire time.
Practical Details That Matter
The Wi-Fi actually works (and I’ve stayed in enough places where that’s not a given), and the shower has decent pressure — those little things that can make or break a stay. There’s no on-site restaurant, but with the kitchenette and all the food options within walking distance, that’s not really an issue. The building’s got character without being annoyingly creaky, if you know what I mean.
Why Guests Love It
What strikes me about this place is how it manages to feel like a proper London experience without the inflated prices of Zone 1. You’re staying in a real neighborhood where you can grab groceries at the Tesco Express down the road, but you’re still twenty minutes from the West End when you want to do tourist things. It’s the kind of spot where you can actually imagine living for a week or two, not just crashing between sightseeing sessions.
London’s apartments welcome long stays with terrace views, museum access, and bike routes to hidden mews streets.

"Lovely cosy apartment."
Elda was very lovely and helpful. The apartment was extremely Clean!! Very cosy feel. We cooked in the apartment 1 night, and the kitchen pans were excellent. The bed and pillows were lovely. Slept very well! 🙏🏼 although it’s so close to the station, the street itself is very quiet at night.
What could be improved: The only issue we had was that we weren’t able to turn on the central heating. Due to my partners health, it would have been nice to have turned the heating on for 10min, before he took his showers. Also the hot water setting, requires increasing. The water was warm, but not hot. Lastly the toilet seat needs replacing, as slides off while using the toilet.

"Very good"
Great location near to Finsbury Park Station
What could be improved: Area isn't the best BUT that isn't a complaint about the premises we stayed.

"Cosy flat, conveniently located. I would definitely stay again."
Lovely little studio apartment, very clean, modern and tastefully decorated. Excellent location, very close to tube station, supermarket (M&S), cafes and a cinema.
What could be improved: The boiler was a bit temperamental (no hot water), but the manager responded quickly and resolved the problem.

"Very good"
Nice place, comfortable, clean and wonderful location just across the tube station.
What could be improved: It is not easy to find the coffee machine pods. A little small, to have breakfast you need to move the table.

"Very good"
The previous guests left late and did not return the keys. On arrival the property had not been cleaned. I reported this to the host who was fantastic and got it sorted immediately. The flat is really comfortable and cosy and excellent location.
What could be improved: It was a shame to not be able to immediately settle after a long journey. The keys weren’t available for a long time and then once in it was dirty so felt a bit disorganised but was sorted very quickly

"Good place in Islington for exploring the surroundings and supporting Arsenal"
Good location and effective communication via WhatsApp with hosts for check-in, check-out and any issues.

"Very convenient flat"
Clean, compact but fully equipped studio close to the station. Check-in was smooth via keybox. Hosts fairly responsive and communicative on Whatsapp, also very flexible and adjusted checkout to fit my late flight. Highly recommended.
What could be improved: There are 2 flights of rather narrow stairs, so if you have heavy luggage (as myself) please be aware of that. Couple of equipments, such as chopping board/bowls/dustbin/drying rack would have been nice, although I could manage somehow.
